Slim (Of 112) “Good Lovin’” f/ Ryan Leslie & Fabolous
VIDEO PREMIERE!
Literally runnin’ out the door but before I do… for my Minny friends especially… check out the latest video premiere featuring Slim (Of 112), Ryan Leslie, & Fabolous! The album of the same name is out in stores now and I hear it’s HOT! Enjoy!
I was buys all day Saturday, but back on Sunday with a HUGE, 25 track update, predominantly R&B featuring all the big names like Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher, Mario, Jamie Foxx, & MORE! My boy Songz sounds ridiculous over the 2 covers of Slim and Robin Thicke. I’m really feelin’ those couple trax and to a lesser extent, the “Just Like Me RMX” w/ Usher added and the Paula DeAnda / Frankie J duet. Peep all the trax below as well as the latest video premiere from Gym Class Heroes and a video about The Roots’ retirement from touring. Enjoy!
FULL, DJ, CLEAN, Track off upcoming album, Theater Of The Mind *Tibs Fav.™
Whoo, 18 track update for ya ears here, starting off w/ the much anticipated collabo between 3 of 2day’s biggest rap stars: “I Did It For Hip Hop” by Ludacris f/ Jay-Z & Nas! And this one blew me away. Luda comes thru with a catchy hook over a raw hip hop beat and I’m especially feelin’ Nas’ verse. Definitely one that every hip hop fan should DL! Down below, an interesting original version of Common’s “Be”, a hot beat on the DJ Felli Fel track, the nice extended version of “Propane” f/ T.I., some more various hip hop and R&B trax-n-vids! Enjoy!
Producer: Jim Jonsin - FULL, CDQ, Clean*Tibs Fav.™
MORE H-Town heat for ya ears, with the featured track of this 2nd post 2day comin’ from another Houston rapper, Slim Thug! It’s a real hot, Jim Jonsin produced beat that is inspired by the classic from A Flock Of Seagulls’ “I Ran”! For the younger generation like myself, that likable song was the title track for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and is instantly recognizable with Slim Thug’s clear southern style overlaying the similar chorus. Down below, a few more solid trax, including a nice Swizz Beatz radio rip that I think I’ll like more once the CDQ version is released. It’s certainly catchy, as u should expect from Swizzy. Finally, there’s a foursome of hip hop related videos with interviews with Common and Q-Tip, a live performance video of Q-Tip, and the latest video premiere from Jadakiss! Enjoy!
Finally back w/ some NEW trax for ya ears featuring some of the superstars in hip hop and R&B! Ne-Yo comes thru w/ a real nice slow jam that I think will only grow on me even more. The lyrics are on point, as you should expect from arguably the best R&B songwriter in the game. Usher also comes thru w/ a solid track that’s supposedly produced by T-Pain, who’s also in this update with the official RMX 2 “Can’t Believe It” w/ Justin Timberlake. In addition to the CDQ version of Jay-Z’s “HIstory” (supposedly produced by Kanye West), you can also check out the rest of the trax featuring One Chance, Slim (Of 112) & Big Boi, and MORE including videos featuring Will.I.Am, Kanye West, & Ludacris! Enjoy!
Be sure 2 hit up the Mr. Music and LA trax that were requested earlier this week below in the update if u don’t have them already! Stay tuned for yet another HOT GWHH exclusive from the fellas sometime next week!
B.o.B., David Banner, & Talib Kweli: 10 Minute Freestyle
(f/ Playboy Tre also… Kweli goes nuts round 6:40.. damn.)
Talib Kweli, David Banner, & Co. get the top spot for this small update, in part because a TEN minute LIVE freestyle would be absolutely nuts 2 experience at a concert, but also because I attended the Hip Hop Live Tour a couple weeks ago up here in Minneapolis featuring the same headliner artists and it was just an awesome hip hop show. David Banner was climbing the stage, stage diving into the bumpin’ crowd, and just goin’ word for word with extreme passion. He was a very entertaining live performer and I became more of a fan after his performance. Talib Kweli closed the show with some electrifying performances himself. It was a pleasure just 2 hear him spit so intelligently and so fast and he had the crowd movin’ like crazy when he closed the concert with, perhaps his most famous hit, “Get By”! All the artists performed with the Rhythm Roots All-Stars Band, which made for instrumentation that enhanced everyone’s performance and made for a unique experience. It was a great show and unfortunately we didn’t get a 10 minute freestyle like the ppl in D.C. above, but that video is a nice example of what went down at the Hip Hop Live Tour. Down below, check out the official RMX of Slim’s latest hit “So Fly” f/ OutKast’s Big Boi droppin’ a nice verse and a RMX to the catchy Lloyd single, “Year Of The Lover”. Also, Craig David comes thru w/ another video premiere and his Greatest Hits album will drop on November 24th! AND I added a behind the scenes look at a video they are making for Keyshia Cole & 2Pac’s “Playa Cardz Right”, which was a track on Pac’s Life from 2006 that will surface again as a single. Enjoy!
GWHH would also like 2 express their condolences 2 Jennifer Hudson and her family after reading this absolutely tragic news story of her mother and brother’s homicide just this past weekend. Wow, what a shame.
We’re leadin’ off with a real nice video/song from another one of Chicago’s fastest rising stars, Kidd Russell. Kidd Russell has opened for the likes of Common, The Roots, Nappy Roots, and GLC and with “Dear Shooter” is well on his way to making his mark in Chicago hip hop. The song is a deep one that was inspired by the Virginia Tech school shootings and was ironically recorded on the same day of the Northern Illinois school shootings in the winter of this year. The lyrics touch on gun violence and the video has been featured across the web, even on a Barack Obama site. Finally, Kidd says the song is like a cross between 2Pac’s “Dear Mama” & Eminem’s “Stan”, which I feel is an accurate description after analyzing the verses. Peep for yourself with the video above!
Down below, your daily batch of NEW trax-n-vids, starting w/ a raw hip hop track from Joe Budden and friends that goes nearly 7 minutes with words flyin’ all over the place. Clear and meaningful verses are abound so all the hip hop fans will surely love what Joe Budden & Co. have 2 offer in “Slaughterhouse”. Akon also comes thru w/ 3 more trax - a nice mid-tempo ballad w/ Keyshia Cole, the RMX 2 “I Got Paid” w/ Young Jeezy added on it (could grow on me), and a nice club-banger that adores the ladies with “Beautiful”. Also, Lil’ Flip comes thru w/ a new track and Fab adds a verse 2 “Good Lovin’”, which makes for a nice complete track as well. Finally, a bunch of video premieres below featuring Q-Tip, Lil’ Wayne, Frankie J, & MORE! Enjoy!
Honestly, a somewhat forgettable update here, with a couple T.I. videos kicking it off, with a lil’ message about the passing of Bernie Mac this past weekend. Down below are a few decent trax that u may like featuring some hip hop with Trick Daddy & Crooked I, as well as an extended RMX of Slim’s “So Fly” f/ various rappers and a NEW track from R&B singer, Sterling Simms! There’s a few more videos 2 check out below, including a behind the scenes look at Maino’s “Hi Hater”, an inside look w/ The Clipse, & an interview with famous producer, DJ Toomp! Enjoy!
***NOTE: We are temporarily goin’ back 2 Mediafire for trax since many of our international visitors are having trouble DLing w/ zShare. Hope that helps!
FULL, CDQ, Track from Team USA Soundtrack *Tibs Fav.™
Some more NEW trax for ya ears before I sign off for the nite.. the feature track - a positive one by Chris Brown! I feel like the beat was motivational right away, somethin’ that would be in a Disney movie, and did some diggin’ and found out the track was in fact on the Team USA Soundtrack - a promotional CD in light of the Olympics that started 2day! It’s a catchy, nice track that I think could grow on me as time passes; def a MUST-DL for the CB fans out there! Turns out Nelly’s “Warrior” is on the soundtrack as well and big ups 2 Laura K. for sending us more promotional information on the Team USA Soundtrack, which can be seen below (and all over the iTunes store!)

Chris Brown - Team USA Promo Spot
Nelly - Team USA Promo Spot
“The track “Warrior”, these reason I think that it plays a part in this is because of the intensity, and the Olympics is all about being that warrior, it’s all about bringing that mentality to it, that kill or be killed mentality, even though it’s friendly games and all that, but it’s the biggest event for the world… I think athletes and musicians are similar in the way that they both work hard, in the way that if everybody could do it, everybody would do it. Only if you have what it takes, and only if you can give what it takes.“

Below, find some more NEW trax featuring RMXs 2 Robin Thicke & Jennifer Hudson’s first singles, “Magic” & “Spotlight”, respectively. “Magic” continues 2 grow on me and MJB is, well, MJB. Makes for a good mix, but I can’t say the same for Young Jeezy on the “Spotlight RMX”, as this is a case where I feel he doesn’t belong on the track. He’s fine in spurts, and on different types of beats, but not a soulful, StarGate produced song w/ Jennifer’s lovely vocals. I mean, his obnoxious tone and average verse (EX: plugging his own upcoming album, which sounded more forced than clever) brings the song down and makes me revert back 2 the original. Furthermore, when I first laid eyes on the tracklist for L.A.X., I saw The Game & Ne-Yo’s collabo (downloadable now below!) and was real intrigued and excited 2 hear it. Unfortunately for me, it did not live up 2 my expectations as I feel The Game was not that strong on the track and even Ne-Yo came off a lil’ forced in coming up w/ a hook, but perhaps its the subject matter. I suppose the song could grow on me, and maybe it will since it could be a likely candidate for The Game’s next radio hit, but on first listen, was not really feelin’ it. Finally, enjoy Donnie Klang’s first video premiere for a song that I liked - “Take You There” f/ Diddy! Oh, and I threw in a 10 second video of Lupe saying doing his lil version of “Hi Hater”, which made me chuckle, haha! Enjoy!
