Quick post here on kind of a slow day anyway: NEW T.I. & Snoop.. def feelin’ the beat there, and also one of the standout trax from Emeritus by Scarface and collaborator, Bilal! I had the chance 2 listen 2 Emeritus a lil’ last week and have some extended thoughts on the whole album that I will have in a review very soon. Enjoy!

Spotted over @ Urban Music, the supposed MASTERED version of “Heartless” comes thru and well, you already know it’s hot! My comp speakers aren’t 2 great but in comparing the mastered version above w/ the ummastered version ‘Ye dropped on his blog a couple days ago, I did notice that Kanye’s voice in general simply booms over the beat more. There really is a difference there and although it is a slight difference, it is one worth DLing the NEW version above. We’ll see if there’s more versions 2 come from ‘Ye himself in the future. Also, Andrew liberated another rare, unreleased Lupe track, that truthfully is nothin’ more than solid 2 me. I was never feelin’ the old Lupe nearly as much as Lupe on his albums and since then, but it is interesting 2 see how much he’s grown. Down below u can also find a T.I. / Akon collabo called “Hero” that was a leftover track from T.I. Vs. T.I.P., I believe, that surfaced just now on that upcoming mixtape of T.I. songs that didn’t make Paper Trail as well and that you’ve seen here on GWHH. Other than that, there’s a few more trax and a couple videos of Scarface talkin’ politics and B.o.B. talkin’ about how his collabo with T.I. and Ludacris, “On Top Of The World” from Paper Trail came about. So Chi-Town’s own, Verbal Kent, reached out to us with this timely exclusive - a hip hop version of the classic Chicago Cubs theme song “Go Cubs Go” that rings through Wrigley Field after every W (and let’s hope that will continue in October!). As a ridiculously huge Cubs fan, I’ll be glued to the TV or maybe at Wrigley for the playoffs this year and the city is straight up buzzing as this is the best chance in recent history that the Cubs will break their 100 year World Series drought (Oh, and I suppose the South Siders may be chatting a lil’ bit as well as they sneaked into the playoffs themselves less than an hour ago.. hmmph..) As for Verbal Kent, he is not just a no-namer from Chicago, as evidenced by his recent ink in the hip hop magazine, XXL, and you can peep his MySpace HERE! Much props 2 VK for the creative rhymes centered around the starters and pitching staff as well as the bench players, announcers, and more! Of course, Go Cubs Go!

Hip hop fans will see a couple Paper Trail bonus trax that are definitely good enough 2 be on the album (and I got the album 2day… it’s ridiculous.. expect a review soon!). Brand NEW Jennifer Hudson from her upcoming, debut album on a hip hop inspired beat, where she still sounds great, but the story of the track is Luda killin’ it on the 3rd verse. The first few bars from Luda were clever enough 2 warrant a chuckle on 1st listen and he maintains the dope wordplay throughout. Below is a very solid hip hop track that could grow on me by Scarface, Weezy, & Bun B. Big fans of them will surely like it. And I can’t forget a nice R&B jam by Charlie Wilson and T-Pain and part 2 of the Immortal Technique interview from yesterday. Out for a Quiznos $2.99 Meatball… needless 2 say, I’m pumped! Wow! U kno us Chicago boys got excited when Kanye dropped these first look pics on his blog of his next video “Homecoming”! That’s especially a crazy pic of ‘Ye and the Bean at Millennium Park, love it and can’t wait for the vid… coming soon! Also peep the NEW collabo of 3 of hip hop’s legends - Ice Cube, Scarface, & Nas “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It RMX” - with updated lyrics that relate 2 the times 2day! It’s def a cool track for all us hip hop heads! Enjoy!
Also wanted 2 pass along some Billboard Hot 100 news for ya - Usher’s latest hit “Love In This Club” f/ Young Jeezy has jumped from 51 all the way to NUMBER 1! Ridiculous. U kno that’s goin 2 be up there for awhile, congrats 2 him as well as 2 our boy Lupe Fiasco as “Superstar” has reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, rising one spot from last week. Who knows? Maybe Lupe’s first top 10 hit?! Never thought it would get this high tho! Awesome. Let’s wait & see! Back round noon for another update, pz!

Above is the featured track for the day - the OFFICIAL RMX of the hit song “Can’t Help But Wait” featuring a new beat and new vocals from Trey Songz and a feature by Lil’ Wayne! The original is still better, but this RMX is def worth a DL. Below, we got the latest and first singles for the upcoming albums for the Making The Band winners - MTB4 & Danity Kane! Both are pretty uptempo R&B trax that you mite enjoy. And finally, I’m not a huge fan of 50 (esp. recently) but u can DL a new, unreleased track from him that is aite. But you should DL it just 2 see the picture I used for the album artwork, haha. And finally, a REQUEST - “Girl You Know RMX” Scarface f/ Trey Songz. Breaking news as T.I. (or maybe this was T.I.P. acting out again, haha) has been arrested and taken in custody as federal agents have a search warrant for his Atlanta home and are currently in his Atlanta home searching. There is no information on the exact charges just yet, just that the investigation has developed quickly. T.I. will consequently miss the recording of the BET Hip Hop Awards that is scheduled for tonight where he was scheduled to perform and led all artists with 9 nominations. Wow, terrible timing for T.I. and let’s hope the investigation turns up nothing and it will blow over. You can read the full story HERE, along with a video from FOX News in Atlanta.
