I’m havin’ trouble playin’ videos myself right now, but I figured the top spot is nothing new 2 T.I. b/c he just scored the biggest leap in Billboard Hot 100 history with his 1st single, “Whatever You Like” jumping from #71 to #1! Congrats to T.I. & I’m real happy 2 see him up on top with a song that has really grown on me. Jyea! “Green Light” is another single that I’m really feelin’ @ the moment and above is the video premiere of the John Legend / Andre 3000 collabo! It’s a fun video that matches the fun song (complete with an intro and outro and an Estelle cameo) and it gets a lil colorful and crazy when 3000’s verse begins, quite appropriately I mite add. Def worth watchin’ all the way thru b/c the outro features a lil’ snippet of a JL song I haven’t heard of (presumably another song off the upcoming album, Evolver, which is due in stores October 28th!) as well as a very comedic ending featuring Legend & 3000! After u peek @ that, check out some trax below, including 2 NEW Akon features w/ my girl Keri Hilson & The Game! A New York DJ by the name of Rob Low sent us over his Throwback RMX of Jay-Z’s “Jockin’ Jay-Z” and I love what he did w/ that beat (still iffy on Jay tho in general) so I’m pretty sure all u Hov fans will enjoy that unofficial RMX! A few standout trax from the bunch above and below, starting with Ludacris’ latest single (thx 2 Steve-O for the send) that will surely be hitting the radio in due time. It features Chris Brown & Sean Garrett and supposedly is produced by Swizz Beatz. The song is pretty solid on 1st listen and is exactly the type of song that will grow on me over time. The song is aimed squarely at the pop crowd, especially with a unique beat that is also likely 2 annoy some as well. I’m indifferent on the beat, like many of the vocals by Luda & CB, so we’ll see how this track lasts over time. Down below, Trey Songz kills the first verse of the “Girls Around The World RMX” and T.I. & Fabolous kill the “Hi Hater RMX”! MORE ROOTS! The album leaked so this is likely the last track off there we will post, but it’s another HOT one featuring frequent Roots collaborator and CHI-Town Legend - Common! The beat is raw hip hop combined with some sick drums by ?uestlove and of course top notch verses by Black Thought and Common! A lot 2 love on that track. I also re-upped “Criminal” with no HHDX drops, which has been on repeat all day. In addition 2 the NEW Roots, check out one more NEW mp3 in the form of the “Love In This Club (Part II)” by Usher f/ Mrs. Jay-Z & Weezy. Here is the NEW video by Obie Trice “Wanna Know RMX” f/ Saigon! For those who don’t know, the original song was featured in the hit HBO comedy Entourage in “The Sundance Kids” episode back in Season 2. Naturally, Obie collaborated with Saigon, who played a recurring role in the series, for the remix. The audio has been out for awhile, but the music video just premiered! The video has a heavy Entourage influence, and since I am a huge fan of the show, I really enjoyed the clever nuances that were featured in the video. The original is the verison that appears on the Entourage soundtrack that you can purchase HERE! And you can DL the audio of the remix below! Enjoy!
