Check out this HQ live performance video from Kanye West performing “Heartless” out in London! The clarity both visually and from Kanye are on point and I can’t wait 2 see one of the best live performers ever again in concert after watching that. Down below, another video featuring Kanye West and video premieres from Chicago’s Mikkey Halsted, Rihanna & Justin Timberlake (you’ll enjoy that one B. Mo), and Wyclef Jean & Will.I.Am! Enjoy!

VIDEO PREMIERE!
Wyclef Jean “Touch Your Button (Carnival Jam)” f/ Will.I.Am & Melissa Jimenez
ALL videos here, starting with the video premiere for T.I.’s number one single, “Live Your Life” f/ Rihanna! Some thoughts: T.I. has a Transporter look goin’ on and also an interesting choice of showin’ himself gettin’ beat down, but I like that - it plays out pretty cool, but not feelin’ the Sox hat Tip, haha. (We’re Cubs fans here.) Most of all, I like the video as a whole and the story it tells throughout. Once T.I. & Rihanna get 2gether in the bar scene, the video picks up and from then on, it’s really sweet. Take a look for urself above and don’t forget about the videos down below: T.I. talks, along w/ Q-Tip & Co., Common and The Cool Kids perform, and Trey Songz, Juelz Santana, & MORE appear in a couple video premieres! Back w/ trax sometime later 2nite; Enjoy!

FULL, LQ, Limited DJ, Track off upcoming album, 808’s & Heartbreak *Tibs Fav.™
FINALLY back.. and with a TON of goodies for ya eyes and ears, starting with NEW Kanye West from 808’s & Heartbreak! “Coldest Winter” was released earlier, but this is the HQ (supposedly CDQ) version of the track that is also supposedly dedicated 2 his late mother. I can def see that and I think parts of it can def be applied 2 a relationship also. I’m really diggin’ “Coldest Winter” a lot; the beat is ridiculous and inspired by some 80s music and Kanye passionately sings some beautiful lyrics. I’m still on the fence about the album’s direction, but it appeals 2 me because I love the topics he’s covering and I don’t mind the autotune that much and feel that Kanye uses it real well 2 the point that it’s not really annoying. We’ll see about the entire album, however. I’ll reserve judgment on “Robocop” because it does sound like a LQ version, but I can say that it didn’t strike me like “Heartless” and “Coldest Winter” did at first. Both of the latter trax really stand out 2 me and will be on repeat for months 2 come (just like LA’s “The Journey” produced by Mr. Music that u should definitely grab if u haven’t already!). As for the rest of the update, NEW trax from John Legend, Ludacris featuring co-stars like Lil’ Wayne, Common, and even Spike Lee, a couple real nice Q-Tip trax, and some other solid efforts from hip hop and R&B artists that u can peep below. Also be sure 2 check out the latest video premieres featuring Estelle, Bobby Valentino, and Keri Hilson among others. Enjoy!
Producer: Timbaland & The Clutch - FULL, CDQ*Tibs Fav.™
Here comes another unreleased track from Usher! It is certainly a solid, uptempo one (as you’d expect w/ Timbaland behind the boards), but I’m not feelin’ it as much as “Hush” and “Take U There” from earlier in the week. I do, however, think it will grow on me and in be in my constant rotation of trax. The R&B masses are sure 2 enjoy the track tho! Down below, a couple hip hop trax - a nice collabo with Evidence and the first leaked track from producer Exile’s forthcoming instrumental LP! And finally, a random assortment of videos f/ T.I., Ludacris, T-Pain, & MORE! Enjoy! (Also added some NEW Lil’ Flip!)
T.I. “Whatever You Like” & “Live Your Life” f/ Rihanna LIVE @ VMAs
Lil’ Wayne Medley f/ Leona Lewis & T-Pain LIVE @ VMAs
First off, I should note that I fully expect these videos 2 be taken down within the next day, but for those who can view it while they still can AND those who missed the VMAs 2nite or those who just wanna see them again, [raises hand] guilty, u can watch the performances by the 3 hottest names in hip hop 2day - Kanye West, T.I., & Lil’ Wayne!
Starting off w/ my first HQ experience with Kanye’s NEW single, “Love Lockdown”… loved the performance. It was passionate, the lighting and theatrics at the end were sweet, and the song itself was a great song for a live show, especially closing out a show as big as the VMAs. While Kanye didn’t go home w/ any major moonmen, he finally got that coveted closing performance spot at the annual MTV award show and delivered like we should all expect. He does get on that autotuner again, but he makes it sound good. What stands out about this song is the mood created by the beat and lyrics, and only enhanced by the lighting on the stage. I’m really lovin’ the lyrics in fact, that hook got me on first listen, but I was also truthfully expecting a lil’ more depth in terms of variety of the lyrics throughout the song. It seemed like it was a lil’ repetitive, but the track is still NEW 2 me and that opinion can change once the studio version of the song is leaked, most likely within the next few days, even hours. One other thing that I wasn’t expecting was that Kanye didn’t straight up rap. Not that that’s bad tho as it works here, but I’m coming to realize that this is more of a pop track than a hip hop track, and if that’s the direction Kanye goes in w/ the whole album, then I’m not sure I’d like that. That being said, “Love Lockdown” is certainly a track I’m psyched for and we all know it’s goin 2 be all over ur radio stations and Kanye’s next #1 hit.
T.I.’s performance also warrants mentioning as the whole concept of takin’ the girl around 2 the different sets on “Whatever You Like” was real fly, followed up by Rihanna joining him on the actual stage for their premiere (2 the general public) of T.I.’s next big hit “Live Your Life”. I wasn’t huge on it when I heard it a few weeks ago, but the live performance made me like the song more. Rihanna was nothin’ more than aite on it (and very average on “Disturbia” 2 kick off the show) but T.I. was just killin’ the mic and rappin’ every word clearly. Definitely enjoyed that performance. Lil’ Wayne also kicked it in his lil’ medley, and while all u GWHH fans kno by now that I’m not huge on Weezy, he def came thru w/ an entertaining performance that I respected and I know his huge cult of followers will surely enjoy. Just wanted 2 also express my frustration @ MTV for giving GWHH’s beloved, Lupe Fiasco one verse on air (and not even on stage) that was interrupted by shameless advertising. But what do u expect from MTV? It’s never about the music. In closing… CAN’T wait for “Love Lockdown”, haha. Enjoy!
Quick morning update for ya w/ Trey Songz comin’ thru w/ yet another solid track, that would especially hit the right chord if I can relate 2 the lyrics, haha. Just cuz I can’t, doesn’t mean they aren’t good ones and I’m sure there are fellas out there who can relate. Either way, it’s a nice track 2 just vibe 2. Below, there’s nothin’ I’m really feelin’, but the masses will be sure 2 eat up Bow Wow on the “Can’t Believe It RMX” and the Kardinal Offishall / Rihanna collabo. Take a look below @ those and a couple videos as well. Enjoy!
So here’s a lil somethin’ different up above - instead of a feature track, check out a sweet mixtape sent over from our friends at HIP HOP UPDATE - a themed mixtape called The Sole Of Hip Hop, where they compiled some of the best trax about fresh kicks! As somewhat of a shoehead myself, and certainly Max G. is up on his shoe game, we are fans of how the sneaker culture influences hip hop and vice versa. This mixtape is a nice reminder of how the two cultures blend 2gether. Peep the tracklist by clicking on the back cover above or check out the post at HHU! Down below is ur NEW music featuring some big names like Ne-Yo, jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Mos Def, & MORE as well as NEW videos featuring more behind the scenes looks at upcoming videos as well as a recap of the Rock The Bells concert in Chicago we attended, Lupe Fiasco on CNN, a video premiere from The Game, & Jim Jones losing his mind and dissing Nas when Nas can absolutely destroy him! Haha, enjoy!
Wow, here’s a boatload of R&B for ya ears featuring a ton of big names like Usher (above), Trey Songz, Mario, Akon & up and comers like Colby O’Donis, Sterling Simms, One Chance, & many MORE! We also got some J. Dilla produced hip hop and a Lil’ Wayne feature along with a video about DMX’s latest arrest. Damn, what’s goin on w/ the Dark Man X? He has more arrests lately than tracks and I hope he gets his head straight soon for his family’s sake, not only his career. Just crazy. Anyway, just peep everything and DL what u want! Enjoy!
