FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, READY *Tibs Fav.™
Here’s Songz comin’ thru w/ another nice track.. Lyrics could be viewed as corny, but I like them, haha. And I love most everything Songz, but don’t just take it from me. His popularity has certainly risen the past year and this midtempo track shows he’s got the undeniable talent that you at least have to respect. Down below, mainly R&B for ya ears and a lot of big-name producers like Timbaland, Polow Da Don, & Darkchild. Many of these trax have growing potential on me and could surely be a big hit for u also. Finally, a couple videos featuring another live performance from Common & Pharrell doing a new track (again… is Common releasing the whole album w/ Pharrell??) and the other video a recent interview from the man himself, Eminem! Enjoy!
Above is a brand NEW track from Chip himself, presumably on his upcoming Can’t Stop Me mixtape, and it’s a fresh one featuring Kid Cudi! The verses are all on point over a beat that both rappers excel on and is also my type of beat. Chip shows his versatility as he spits over a more laid-back beat compared 2 the hard bangers I am personally more accustomed 2 and it works for the better. Not 2 mention his overall flow is better than I’ve heard in previous trax, which goes with a catchy chorus that I can see myself singing along 2. I’m excited 2 see how the rest of the mixtape develops now, which should be coming soon according 2 his MySpace. Enjoy the exclusive above as well as the myriad trax below… starting with Jay-Z jumping on “Put On”, as well as Jeezy spittin’ some NEW verses. Gotta had it 2 Jay-Z (who I was never a big fan of) but he killed it here. Hmm, more hits than misses in the trax below.. I’m really diggin’ the Rhymefest track, but mainly because of Chamillionaire’s beastly verse and incredibly clever Lauren London reference which made me chuckle on 1st listen. Another nice reference occurs in the Busta Rhymes / Jadakiss collabo as a Shaq in Miami and Phoenix NBA reference caught my attention (as does any NBA reference, haha!) Just a bunch of hip hop and some R&B trax below! I’m sure u’ll find somethin’ u like so comment on what u do (and don’t!). Enjoy!
Here’s a couple of cover arts I stumbled upon recently for upcoming singles that I have really been lovin’ - “Green Light” & “Miss Independent”! Update ur iTunes artwork if u like and DL the songs if u don’t have them already below!
Check out our boy Bullet with a mention in the upcoming issue of Source! This is a big deal for one of our rappers we’ve helped launch here at Gowhere Hip Hop and we’re happy 2 see him get the pub he deserves! Watch out for his upcoming album, Back To The Lyrics, on July 29th! Down below is a bunch more NEW trax featuring Chicago’s own, Rhymefest, Lil’ Wayne, Ice Cube, and R&B f/ R. Kelly, Avant, One Chance, Donnie Klang, & MANY MORE! There’s also some videos 2 peep with the latest premiere from Taio Cruz, Lupe Fiasco performing @ the ESPYs (supposedly he was performing throughout the night, during the breaks.. def shoulda got more air time tho..), and Will Ferrell accepting Tiger Woods’ ESPY for Best Male Athlete from Justin Timberlake! Hahaha, simply hilarious. Enjoy!
Stay tuned for some Rock The Bells pictures and updates from Max G. & I - we’re workin’ on it 2gether as we speak!
Back from the doc with some updates for ya eyes and ears, including a very unique, NEW track from Common that he debuted above in a live performance! The beat between the chorus and the verses changes drastically, which is very interesting, but most of all, Common KILLS it, spitting every word clearly live and droppin’ names like Kimbo Slice and Michael Vick very cleverly. I mean, are you not entertained?? Haha, down below, u can DL 12 NEW trax from artists like the late J. Dilla, Kardinal Offishall, Chris Brown, Lloyd, & MANY MORE! Just peep them below and DL, along with The Cool Kids performing live on Jimmy Kimmel and getting some more much deserved mainstream pub. Enjoy!
Producer: DJ Green Lantern - FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming mixtape, Liberty City Invasion*Tibs Fav.™
So I haven’t seen the track above floating around our affiliates and large network of blogs around the web (I haven’t checked every one), but regardless, we got this banger in our e-mail this morning, and I feel like sharing it b/c well, I haven’t seen the track or the Liberty City Invasion mixtape released yet. If it has been, who cares, it’s just another Busta track for his fans and I like his flow, one of the better in the game at that, and it’s definitely a heavy track for u 2 blast loud in ur speakers. (Hmm, just talked 2 the guy who sent it 2 us… I guess u heard it here first!)CLICK HERE for a full tracklisting of the DJ Green Lantern mixtape and tour dates for him & Nas!Down below is a couple R&B trax f/ R. Kelly & Cassie and below that, a couple live performances including Nas & Keri Hilson gracing the Jimmy Kimmel Live! stage with a sweet performance of “Hero”! Enjoy!
WEEKEND UPDATE for ya’ll.. sorry about the delay on the NEW music, but I was working and out of town all day Saturday and until now on Sunday, but I’m back for good. Quite honestly, none of the trax in this update hit me as incredible on first few listens, but nonetheless, there are some quality trax 2 be had, starting with the unreleased Usher track above! The beat can be hit or miss, some will dig it, some will find it annoying, but the one constant as usual is Usher’s vocals! That’s a track that will grow on me, but it will be remained 2 be seen what direction that may be - positive or negative.. Down below, a bunch of hip hop and R&B, including the U.K. bonus track from Untitled by Nas, which of course is on point lyrically, but overall weaker than the trax already posted on GWHH. I’m also feelin’ the Swizzy beat on Styles P’s new track, and a few of the R&B trax by Trey Songz (is that really him tho?) & Francisco, namely. Peep it all below, along with the video premiere of LL Cool J’s latest single, “Baby” f/ The Dream! Enjoy!
The above image says it all! (AND yes, I know this is slightly off topic, but hey, we’re from Chicago.)
So hopefully this becomes a reality! The Bulls overcome overwhelming odds and get the #1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft with only a 1.9% chance of that happening! I still can’t believe this and it is almost 2 perfect that the best player/prospect in the draft happens 2 be the anointed 1 from Chicago, IL - DERRICK ROSE! Now, Michael Beasley actually solves a lot of the Bulls’ problems, but c’mon, Derrick Rose belongs in a Chicago Bulls uniform… if John Paxson is reading this (hahaha…) do what you can 2 trade our existing guards, get a big guy who can run with Rose and we’ll be set and you’ll win back the Chicago fans. If we pass on Rose it could be damaging 2 our fan base.
Wow, I can go on, but its really about the music and we’re staying with a Chicago flava with a SIIIIICK cover of T.I.’s mega-hit “What You Know” by the Chicago R&B fellas One Chance featuring their protege u may have heard of… Usher as well as Rico Love! Definitely a unique take @ one of my favorite tracks that ya’ll should definitely DL! Also, while u wait, you can peep a sick LIVE performance of “The Light”, “Stronger”, “The People”, & “Flashing Lights” by CHI-Town’s own Common & Kanye West! Ahhh, what a great day… be back in the Chi 2morrow afternoon as well! JYEA! Enjoy!
