Quick update for ur Labor Day here… def feelin’ Lloyd on the hook on the song w/ P$C (T.I.’s group) rapper, Big Kuntry King. U also got Juelz spittin’ over the recent T-Pain & Kanye collabo (yes… I guess Khaled also..) and a couple trax by Ace Hood and the Pussycat Dolls (only posted b/c of the Timbaland/Danja production, haha!) Hopefully back later in the evening.. enjoy!

Some more Recession for ya ears; I swear this is the last of the album u’ll see, b/c quite frankly I’m gettin’ tired of it, but the one collabo I was really lookin’ forward 2 was the one w/ one of my favs - Trey Songz, and it doesn’t disappoint! Jeezy is nothin’ more than mediocre (which as u can tell is my general opinion of him, much respect still..) but I love Songz on the hook and that’s why I’ma keep bumpin’ this one! Below, check out some more trax f/ Kardinal Offishall & Akon and a few videos f/ Talib Kweli, Ace Hood, & Kid Cudi! Enjoy!
The hip hop heads should already be familiar with the ATL’s Stat Quo, who was a rapper I first heard a few yrs ago and liked everything he was droppin. He is still with Shady/Aftermath from what I heard, but his debut album, Statlanta, has been constantly delayed and while it has apparently been completed for awhile, the label has yet 2 release it. The song above is Stat telling that story, along with other stories about his journey in the industry, Proof’s death, & more! Some pretty heartfelt lyrics attracted me right away on the 1st listen and reminded me why I liked Stat Quo in the first place. So if ur a big hip hop head, def give Stat a chance and DL 2day’s feature track above! Below, plenty more hip hop and R&B.. some thoughts on the trax below… Twista kills “The Business RMX”, Songz kills the hook on “Love For Money”, & I’m tryin’ 2 love Chris Brown’s “Captive”, but its slightly disturbing me that the song is in fact written in a girl’s perspective (a demo for the Pussycat Dolls… I can see Nicole S. on that Polow beat makin’ the radio for sure…). There’s also a couple videos featuring more from hip hop with Kidz In The Hall & Skillz! Enjoy!
FULL, Limited DJ, RMX over Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y.” *Tibs Fav.™
Thx 2 our aff. 2dopeboyz (ironic, huh?) for the above track and pic as Lupe, Wale, & Kardinal Offishall rhyme over the classic Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth “T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You)”! Lupe’s verse has been out for over a year already - it was featured on the 2007 mixtape, Sneakerboxx/The Laces Below, but it is mashed into a full song w/ Wale’s and Offishall’s verses (not sure if they are recycled also..)! One of my favorite all-time beats and the rappers don’t disappoint… MUST-DL above! Down below, some more hip hop featuring Yung Berg, Naledge (Of Kidz In The Hall), Lil’ Wayne, & MORE! Enjoy!
Producer: Polow Da Don - FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album, Lessons In Love *Tibs Fav.™
R&B singer Lloyd is prepping for his 3rd album, Lessons In Love, and this is the last batch of trax that we are sharing here at GWHH before the album hits stores on August 5th! And they are 2 of the better ones, especially the J. Lack produced “I’m Wit It”. If you recall, Lloyd and J. Lack first linked up for the huge hit “Get It Shawty” that was a summer anthem last year and this track is sure to be bumpin’ in the stereos well into the twilight of this summer. It’s not quite the banger as “Get It Shawty” but it’s surely a track that I’m feelin’ and the new-age R&B fans will enjoy as well. Down below peep some more hip hop featuring Rhymefest, an old (unreleased) Nas track, a Lil’ Wayne feature, and especially take the time to watch and respect the genius that is R&B singer/songwriter/producer Ryan Leslie as he gives viewers a special behind the scenes look at the making of his single “Addiction”. R. Les is just goin’ crazy on the boards and on the mic and it’s really neat 2 see his passion translating into the music. As a bonus video as well, check out a rare interview from 1994 back when Ryan Leslie was in high school (and bout 2 enter Harvard, where he graduated at age 19!?!) … I think me and him had the same glasses, haha! Anyway, that’s def an interesting view and for more Ryan Leslie on YouTube, subscribe 2 his official channel with many more behind the scenes looks HERE! Enjoy!
