I was buys all day Saturday, but back on Sunday with a HUGE, 25 track update, predominantly R&B featuring all the big names like Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher, Mario, Jamie Foxx, & MORE! My boy Songz sounds ridiculous over the 2 covers of Slim and Robin Thicke. I’m really feelin’ those couple trax and to a lesser extent, the “Just Like Me RMX” w/ Usher added and the Paula DeAnda / Frankie J duet. Peep all the trax below as well as the latest video premiere from Gym Class Heroes and a video about The Roots’ retirement from touring. Enjoy!
Long Snippet (2+ Min.), LQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, 808’s & Heartbreak *Tibs Fav.™
Here we are - another Kanye West song, supposedly off of 808’s & Heartbreak! Damn, I really love the topics that Kanye is tackling in all of his recent releases; topics that he hasn’t fully covered in any of his previous albums. “Coldest Winter” has some lyrics that really bring his situation with his mom easy 2 relate 2 (thx S-Preme for that) and it is really makin’ me excited for the FULL version that will hopefully surface soon. Down below, even more trax featuring the much talked about Coldplay/Jay-Z collabo (I’m ehhh on both artists but I know big fans of them will like it). There’s also a lot of solid R&B featuring Brandy and new faces like Sammie, Korean singer Se7en (word 2 Okur - happy bday bro!), and Shawn Desman. U kno what 2 do.. Enjoy!
Thx again 2 BOBO for sendin’ this track our way - a nice track that reminds me a lot of Plies “Bust It Baby Pt. 2″ f/ Ne-Yo. Haha. The parallels would be almost eerie if this track hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts. 2 me, Jadakiss is a mediocre rapper (like Plies) and grabs Ne-Yo for a hook and comes up w/ a radio-friendly love song. Jada actually rips pretty well on the verses and I like the lyrics in general, esp. Ne-Yo on the hook and the Eric Hudson beat. Below, a bunch of R&B, including 3 trax by my boy on the rise, Casely! He’s always got the hot, bangin’ club beats and his voice compliments them well. I like all 3 of the trax below and fans of the new age R&B will eat those up for sure. He’s really the only one who warrants mentioning… a solid track by One Chance and a pleasant hook by Trey Songz can be found down there as well. U know what 2 do. Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Track off mixtape, Damage Reversal *Tibs Fav.™
Big ups 2 lupEND for sending this thru - a Lupe Fiasco feature that is supposedly new (I don’t have it at least). But don’t get fooled, this is a song where Bishop G shines… u should know Bishop G destroying “Little Weapon” on Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool.. FNF UP! But Lupe does nothing else than provide a real nice hook, while Bishop kills it w/ the clarity that made me like him a lot in the first place, even cleverly referencing my favorite team in any sport - Chicago Cubs and Michael Jordan’s gambling controversy from about 15 years ago. Damn. Sweet track from another Chicago rapper that ya’ll shouldn’t sleep on. Down below some more solid trax w/ Big Boi comin’ thru on a unique, hard track called “Dubbz”, Nappy Roots RMXing that catchy tune “Good Day” w/ a Barack Obama flair (shouts 2 2dope).. I really like Robin Thicke’s 2nd single, slow jam w/ lyrics that’ll speak 2 any fan of R&B. Ciara and Missy Elliott come through with “1, 2 Step 2008″ “Work”, a catchy Danja-produced track and Paula DeAnda comes thru w/ a song that I like called “I Was Ready”. Finally, take a peek at the Alfamega video below. Enjoy!
