The above track is all Talib spittin’ on a nice, slow, simple beat from Dela, which of course allows Talib to spray some clear wisdom and even attack “lullaby rappers”, a term I would love 2 adopt now, haha. Def a good hip hop track for ya ears. Down below, mainly R&B (or Pop&B), including the next T-Pain single with pop star and frequent collaborator, Chris Brown. I’m not really feelin’ it - autotune 2 the max here, but I’m sure it’s somethin’ that won’t sound bad in a club setting. (Just a thought… “One Nite Girl” by LA & Mr. Music above simply BLOWS “Freeze” away.. prolly a biased thought, but one that I’m sure many of you will agree with…) Anyway, more videos below as well with a Luda feature premiere, ConsTV’s latest installment, and Sarah Silverman hilariously endorsing Barack Obama! (Shouts 2 Urban Music & HHU for a few of the trax & their continued support!) Enjoy!
PSA Announcement f/ Usher, Will.I.Am., & a TON of Celebs (Jonah Hill is HILARIOUS)
Politics get the top spot in this post 2day as Obama graces the next cover of Vibe, but what’s really important is what follows: the Public Service Announcement from various major celebrities and musicians (Usher & Will.I.Am.) as they effectively convey how important this election is for our generation and how time is running out to register to vote! I recently jumped on board as well and will be voting in Minnesota so I can attest to the fact that it is real easy to register to vote. In fact, I did so while waiting on my roommate who was in the shower, haha. So watch the video, get more inspired, and if you are an Obama supporter, get more psyched by the STRONG words our boy Lupe Fiasco had to say about the election just the other night:
“A vote for Barack is a vote for the future, a vote for McCain is a vote for the past,” said Fiasco. He added, “Ladies and gentlemen, the most important vote is the vote for yourselves.” At this point, Lupe’s sunglasses came off and the performance became a bit more personal.
Near the end of the show, Fiasco performed what is arguably his most famous single, “Superstar.” He then entered into a lengthy dialogue with the crowd, imploring them up from the apathetic daydream that seems to be characteristic of much of our generation: “If we don’t wake up now, ladies and gentlemen, there might not be a tomorrow to wake up to. Wake up!”
That’s real passionate and just on point. Obama personifies change, and change is something this country needs for it to better itself and better our status around the world. Period.
Down below, some loose end trax and vids; not much else comments 2 add, but I’m sure u’ll find somethin’ that piques your interest. Enjoy!

Some more brand NEW JL for ya ears, this time featuring his good pal and labelmate, Estelle! As expected, it is a nice R&B slow jam, but has an unexpected reggae feel 2 it. I like the track, but not sure I’m going 2 fall in love w/ it as it certainly is no “You Are” (John Legend’s feature on Estelle’s most recent album, Shine). It is definitely a track ya’ll should DL and maybe it will grow on u as it likely will on me. Down below, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama recently spoke 2 MTV about hip hop! I included a video from the MTV news story (also linked below) along with some interesting quotes from the story. Can you imagine a president hyping himself for big meetings w/ the other world’s leaders to Kanye’s “Stronger”? Haha, well, with Barack, that’s entirely possible and somethin’ that makes me wanna vote for him (…haha, c’mon, I’m kidding. I’m voting for Obama for much more important reasons..) Anyway, enjoy!
51 minutes later.. I’m just throwin’ up the video premiere for Alicia Keys & Jack White’s “Another Way To Die” down below!
“I enjoy it, but these days I don’t have the time to listen to it all the time,” he told MTV News. He said that he still finds time to shuffle through MCs like Jay-Z and Kanye on his iPod, but he thinks the genre’s impact extends far beyond a few hot tracks.
“I’m a little older than hip-hop culture,” he said. “I was there at the beginning, but I was already getting older. … What I’ve appreciated, watching this hip-hop generation, is to see how entrepreneurial they’ve been. In the past, musicians oftentimes were commodities. They were just shuffled around. Obviously, they did well, but they didn’t have the vision to say, ‘I’m going to build a business. I’m going to build my own studio. I’m going to create my own production operations.’ I think they’re a lot more sophisticated than in the past, and that is a wonderful thing.” - MTV.com

Big update for ya Saturdays here, starting with 2 powerful, inspiring tracks on the album inspired by perhaps the most powerful and inspiring person in the U.S.A. today - Democratic candidate, Barack Obama! Starting it off with an original track created for the Obama album above, Malik Yusef goes spoken word and delievers nothing less than an inspiring message. Adam Levine comes through on the hook and Kanye West raps (sans autotune) with the same amount of passion as Obama has for changing our country. It is a great song with a booming beat, especially at the finale of the song. Also above is John Legend’s contribution to the album with a magnificent cover of the U2 smash-hit “Pride (In The Name Of Love)”, which certainly fits the theme of the album as well.
Down below, a bunch of very solid tracks with Mark Ronson putting a nice spin on Robin Thicke’s “Magic”, along with Wale spittin’ some clever lines as well. R&B singer Joe’s album comes out on Tuesday and another track from the CD can be had as well. Def lookin’ forward to that album. I’m also feelin’ that Murs track as it contains clear and inspiring lyrics as well - from the album, Murs For President, in stores September 30th! In the midst of the videos below, you will find the official video premiere to Ne-Yo’s “She Got Her Own (Miss Indepenent Pt. 2)” f/ Jamie Foxx & Fabolous. I’m kind of surprised he didn’t include that track on the album for Year Of The Gentleman, but my guess is they recently recorded it with not enough time for the track to make the final tracklisting. Regardless, the star power above carries the nice slow jam sequel to “Miss Independent” and the nice black & white video does the song justice. Enjoy!
Sorry for the long time between updates.. between all the work, being sick, and social events I was busy with yesterday, I was flat out exhausted to do anything until now. But it’ll all be made up next week because I also used that time to conduct a very interesting interview with a professional athlete that will be hitting GWHH sometime next week! Stay tuned!

John Legend Interview & Rehearsal Of “If You’re Out There”
NEW john Legend “If You’re Out There” is a MUST-DL for any fan of music and even any follower of the political campaigns for this year’s election. JL showcases that one of a kind powerful, soulful voice, while also sending a ringing message to 2day’s generation. The description from his Barack Obama page concisely sums up the goal of the track perfectly,
“A call-to-action and evocation of human potential, “If You’re Out There” reflects the themes of hope and change, responsibility and leadership, and commitment to a better tomorrow expressed in the principles of Barack Obama and the hearts of the American people.”
John Legend performed the song for the first time @ last nite’s opening for the Democratic National Convention in Denver and in addition 2 DLing the track above, peep the interview and rehearsal of John Legend as he talks in detail about the track - a very interesting 2 and a half minute watch. I’ve had “If You’re Out There” on repeat all morning and u should 2; DL above!!!
As for the rest of the update, some more solid R&B comin’ thru from up and comers Rob (Of One Chance) & LaShawn Daniels, as well as established star, Mario chimin’ in w/ a sweet snippet that is worth ur trouble. And we also got some hip hop for ya ears w/ a sweet J. Dilla produced track and a bunch of NY hip hop w/ the LL Cool J / 50 Cent collabo and the latest from Lloyd Banks. And I can’t forget another track by Young Buck and a video of Dead Prez @ Denver’s Capitol Hill! All worth checkin’ out so DL above & below and enjoy!
More from the vault as another Prolyfic-produced Lupe track hits the web above with “U Don’t Know”. Truthfully, this is nothing more than a solid track OVERALL since I’m really not feelin’ the beat and the guy screaming on the chorus, but Lupe brings it as usual and it’s worth the DL 2 hear his rhymes alone. The track I’m really feelin’ 2day is by another Chicago cat - Yung Berg - as he comes thru with a song that I feel could be a hit. It’s produced by Boogz (shouts for a few of the trax) & DJ Chase and features the lovely Amerie on the hook. While Amerie carries the song with her strong vocals, YB also follows thru with the sick, twisted Chicago flow, that I feel he lacks sometimes in other trax. I hope this song blows up (CDQ version also.. poor versions are elsewhere) and it’s definitely one worth DLing. There’s plenty more trax below with Ne-Yo’s “It’s You” deserving some words. It’s over the wonderful Usher “Will Work For Love” beat (the hidden track on Here I Stand) and while Usher’s version is better and illustrates the difference in their voices, Ne-Yo’s is still a quality one, with the lyrics standing out above all. Don’t forget 2 peep the videos as well with some interesting ones f/ Ludacris, & Jay Electronica! Enjoy!
Above is a video premiere I wasn’t expecting so fast, but it actually makes sense that Big Boi & Mary J. Blige released the video for “Something’s Gotta Give”, given the current state of the country and their clear backing of Barack Obama! The video is pretty neat, illustrating some of the issues they talk about in the lyrics, all the while lookin’ fly (Big Boi) & sexy (Mary J.)! Def worth ur time and u can also check out some NEW hip hop below f/ Nas, Freeway, & Clipse’s Re-Up Gang! Enjoy!
FULL, Limited DJ, Track from upcoming DJ Drama/Ludacris mixtape, The Preview
Above are a couple NEW trax from Ludacris that will appear on the upcoming mixtape with DJ Drama! I’m really feelin’ the passion and strong lyrics from Luda in “Politics”, where as u might envision, he spits about the upcoming election - showing overwhelming support 2 Obama, cleverly insulting McCain & Bush, & even calling Hillary a bitch, haha! Do I have 2 say anything more 2 peak ur interest and click the track name above for a download? The other track, “Still Spittin’” goes over Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin’” and while Luda shines, I never could really stand that beat. I’m sure most of u guys will eat that track up tho. Down below, Casely brings a nice R&B touch 2 some hip hop hits, gracing “Hero” & “Put On” w/ a nice verse on both! I like most of Casely’s stuff and hope for an album or mixtape (with a bunch of these type RMXs) very soon! Finally, peep the Snoop Dogg video premiere while u wait the 60 seconds for zshare 2 let u DL, haha. Enjoy!
A couple quick-hit vids for ya before I catch some zzzzs… starting off w/ the video premiere 2 one of my absolute favorite trax of 2007, Trey Songz’ “Missin’ You”! The song, produced by StarGate, is an instant classic that should especially touch the fellas who are missin’ that special someone, especially an ex-gf that u can’t get over. The verses really showcase Songz’ voice and the video really showcases Songz’ style. The video starts off as a continuation of his previous video for “The Last Time”, which sets the video up for a story (as well as the lyrics). Def a fly video where Songz also illustrates the passion from his lyrics. Down below is a video of Nas protesting Fox News and he makes an inspiring speech with various amounts of points, like how Fox News is racist calling Michelle Obama “Barack’s baby mama”. And that was right before getting into that Bill O’Reilly clown. Def an interesting watch if ur interested in the subject. Gnite and enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Verses over N*E*R*D’s “Spaz” *Tibs Fav.™
Bullet is back with another hot freestyle over a mainstream track, this one being N*E*R*D’s “Spaz”, which is one of my favorite beats from Seeing Sounds and compliments Bullet’s style perfectly! As we should now come 2 expect, Bullet goes hard and rips through the beat, especially with his break-neck paced final verse, which showcases his true Chicago, Twista-inspired flow. Pretty ridiculous that you’ll have 2 put it on again 2 make sure u didn’t miss anything! Down below, check out a beautiful live version of Alicia Keys’ “Superwoman” that you can’t help but at least respect, most likely enjoy. You can also take in 2 trax from the upcoming Gym Class Heroes album, Patches From The Quilt, as I especially like the cleverness of the Cool & Dre produced “Peace Sign”! Finally, I also upped some requests, including “Forbidden Fruit”, the future Ne-Yo/Shakira collabo. Apparently it’s not the final version, so I didn’t post it the other day when I was in a rush. I have since heard a request for it, as well as the Baby Bash/Frankie J 2003 hit “Suga Suga”. So DL them below if you wish. Enjoy!
About an hour later, I just added a few trax - the latest from FNF’s Bishop G (dope Dikembe Mutombo mention in there…), an old, rare Twista freestyle, and a hilarious Obama-inspired edition of “A Milli”, haha! Thx 2 FSD & my 3407 roomy for the finds. Enjoy!
