This small update is taking yrs for me as I’m experiencing some comp probs that will hopefully not go beyond 2nite, but my current frustration can be eased with a simple listen 2 the feature track of the update - the collaboration of Young Jeezy & Nas! It’s a conscious song with both Nas AND Jeezy comin’ thru w/ some nice lyrics over a solid beat. I’m very indifferent on Jeezy - he annoys me moreso than he wows me, but he comes thru nicely on this one! Track should be on the upcoming album, The Recession. FULL, CLEAN, Track off upcoming album, L.A.X.*Tibs Fav.™
So the CLEAN version of The Game’s upcoming album, L.A.X., leaked out 2day and above, u can DL 3 more trax (scroll for the Ludacris collabo below) all featuring some big names like Common, Nas, & Ne-Yo! None of the trax are all that special on 1st few listens, but they are also all real solid. Not feelin’ the “Angel” beat and Game’s constant name-dropping, which is more annoying than clever most of the time, but it is some trax the hip hop fan would likely enjoy! Another one they would enjoy is the latest from The Cool Kids as “Pennies” maintains that deep bass sound of the duo and contains many more NBA references than usual, which I really liked of course. And before I forget, the NBA’s DeShawn Stevenson recently made a video of him and his buddy lip synching 2 Usher’s “Love In This Club”! As a fan of DeShawn’s hilarious antics, this video is another illustration of the goofiness of DeShawn Stevenson as he doesn’t disappoint throughout, especially in his lil’ grand finale, hahaha (btw, that beard is still growin, haha!) Big ups 2 my boy Yoox for the sending.. more big ups goes 2 our affs, 2dopeboyz & lupEND for the audio, the latter being responsible for the 2 NEW Shayla G trax (from FNF) as “Crazy” is an interesting one I like - kinda weird, but that’s what makes the song unique and I like that about the track. There are also some behind the scenes and live performance videos that u can peep below f/ Ludacris, Chris Brown, T.I., & Swizz Beatz as well! Enjoy!
S-Preme is another up and coming Chicago rapper, who u may remember as the WINNER for our GWHH Return Of The MC Contest, and he dropped us with a NEW mixtape that really shows off his skills! What strikes me most is his versatility, fully on display in his ridiculous freestyle over Common’s “Universal Mind Control” and other well known trax like Nas’ “Hero”, Lupe Fiasco’s “Paris, Tokyo”, N*E*R*D’s “Everyone Nose RMX”, & T.I.’s “A.S.A.P.”. He drops some full length songs over some nice original beats as well, including lyrics that aren’t dumbed down, rather lyrics with some depth and meaning. We got nothin’ but love for S-Preme, who we can already see has the passion and talent 2 go farther in the music industry! Don’t hesitate, DL above! Enjoy!
N*E*R*D “Everyone Nose RMX” f/ Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, & Pusha T

Thanks 2 S-Preme in our Jabbify, I was able 2 catch the world premiere of the long-anticipated “Everyone Nose RMX” on BET’s 106 & Park and thx 2 Connie over @ OnSmash w/ the send-thru, we have the video online and above @ GWHH! I was expecting big things from the video and it delivered. I love the crazy, fresh effects throughout and the video game / electronic type elements illustrated, w/ everyone lookin’ and actin’ all fly throughout the video. It definitely personifies the style of N*E*R*D and its equally fresh guest features - Kanye, Lupe, & Pusha T from Clipse. I’ve also been thinking about who delivers the best verse out of the 4 in this track for quite some time now, and I’ma throw it out there that if I had 2 choose one who really really killed it, it’s Pusha T. His flow is just ridiculous over the awesome beat and people shouldn’t sleep on him w/ CRS likely overshadowing him on this song 2 the casual fan. Any thoughts on this as well? Chat or comment away! (I should note tho that Kanye, and Lupe especially shine brighter lyrically..) It’s a MUST-WATCH video so please take the time 2 check it out above! I was searching for inspiration for this installment of Old School Sundays and simply thought of one thing I’m looking forward 2 - the first video from CRS for the “Everyone Nose RMX” and it’s directed by none other then the subject of 2day’s Old School Sundays - famed music video director Hype Williams. I did a little digging at his official website - hypewilliams.com - 2 look at his long list of music videos he has directed since the early 90s. Hype’s videos are always so artistic and unique that many hip hop and R&B artists pay big money 2 get him 2 direct the video for their latest single. So below, I found just a few of the many examples, including a couple old videos for classics by Nas and Puff Daddy (at the time) and one of Hype’s more recent videos for Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” (also lost in our archives). So take some time out and get hyped for what Hype has in store for CRS’ “Everyone Nose RMX!” Hah, I know.. hilarious. Enjoy!

Above is a video premiere I wasn’t expecting so fast, but it actually makes sense that Big Boi & Mary J. Blige released the video for “Something’s Gotta Give”, given the current state of the country and their clear backing of Barack Obama! The video is pretty neat, illustrating some of the issues they talk about in the lyrics, all the while lookin’ fly (Big Boi) & sexy (Mary J.)! Def worth ur time and u can also check out some NEW hip hop below f/ Nas, Freeway, & Clipse’s Re-Up Gang! Enjoy!

Above are a couple nice, nice trax from the boy R. Les as he comes thru with another R&B jam as the lyrics is the component that stands out on “Wanna Be Good”. He also remixes his own song with the “I.R.I.N.A. RMX”, showcasing his rap skills over a neat lil beat that features some beat boxing! And yes, he has them - he was a Harvard prodigy and can pretty much do everything, haha. I like both trax that are a nice addition 2 ur library. Naledge (Of Kidz In The Hall).. Mugshot, haha.
“Double O from the hip hop group Kidz In The Hall was assaulted by several bouncers early Saturday morning, July 26, while inside a nightclub in Tempe, AZ following a Kidz In The Hall performance. Group member and friend Naledge, who did not witness the assault on Double O, was arrested outside of the club. Naledge’s attempt to get medical assistance for Double O was misconstrued as a hinderence to the investigation. Reports that no injuries were sustained are false as Double O was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries from the excessive force used by club security. On Sunday morning Double O underwent surgery for one of his injuries. He is still in the hospital, but in stable condition.” (Thx 2 Matt C. for the e-mail!)
The story above pretty much explains it and altho Naledge seems happy (in the mugshot, I’m sure not in general), we hope Double-O can make a speedy recovery and that the incident was nothing more than a misunderstanding. I’m really feelin’ the passion and strong lyrics from Luda in “Politics”, where as u might envision, he spits about the upcoming election - showing overwhelming support 2 Obama, cleverly insulting McCain & Bush, & even calling Hillary a bitch, haha! Do I have 2 say anything more 2 peak ur interest and click the track name above for a download? The other track, “Still Spittin’” goes over Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin’” and while Luda shines, I never could really stand that beat. I’m sure most of u guys will eat that track up tho. Some serious heat in this post with a handful of sweet trax, starting with 2 of the game’s heavyweights collaborating (no pun intended) - The Game & Lil’ Wayne! Normally I’m ‘ehhh’ on both these rappers but they came 2gether for a slower, more conscious track for this one. Wayne is a lil’ annoying on the chorus, but The Game’s verses are all on point and were a fresh reminder of why I bumped The Documentary so much. Down below, Redman comes through with a sweet freestyle over Jay-Z’s “Show Me What Ya Got” and Young Chris & Wale collaborate for a real fresh tune as well. The one thing they have in common, besides being a *Tibs Fav.™, is references to one of my favorite movies - Beverly Hills Cop! Haha, not everyday u see one track with a reference 2 the Eddie Murphy film, let alone 2. And there are also some real dope name-drops with The Rock in the Young Chris / Wale collabo and CP3, aka Chris Paul, in The Game / Lil’ Wayne collabo. Finally, I’m really feelin’ “Perfect Gentleman” by Avant f/ Alfamega, which has a vibe similar 2 the Avant / Lloyd Banks collabo “Exclusive” that I really liked.
