Yessurr… Eminem & Dre (shouts 2 illRoots)! Seems like this is not the FINAL version as Em does the second verse, which seems like it should be Dre’s considering Em introduces him. Regardless, it is brand new material according to the mixtape listing above (hey, I haven’t heard it). As for the track itself, it leans toward the fun trax that Em and Dre did 2gether, w/ Em spittin’ some clever, silly lines. I enjoy the track, but I don’t think this one will last on me, at least not until a final version w/o DJ drops surfaces. I’m hopin’ Em can come back with a strong album similar to the powerful Marshall Mathers LP, but it seems like his new album won’t be in stores in the near future so we’ll just continue to wait for more unexpected trax like the one above 2 drop.. Down below, a few more hip hop trax for ya ears with D12 comin’ thru w/ a solid feature! And finally a few videos featuring Usher, T.I., & Ice Cube. Enjoy!
More footage of Kanye on network TV, this one with my favorite late-nite comedian - Conan! He performs “Heartless”, which I am really enjoying seeing LIVE because of the emotion involved in the song itself, and sits down for a 10 minute interview that has a lot of laughs. Damn, that live performance tho, wow. Gotta love the drums in the background. MUST-SEE for the Kanye fans. You also have 2 read the Kanye West Q&A with Fader, which explains more about the ideas behind the man, Kanye West. Here’s some snippets below:
Did you have an epiphany about singing on the new album?
I never even thought about it like that, I just thought about what I wanted to hear when I was making music, just like hook after hook after hook after hook after hook. It’s the musical version of an Obama speech.
What do you think about “Swagger Like Us,” along with MIA’s “Paper Planes,” and “Love Lockdown” all hitting people together?
Such a great time. It’s like, Why does that happen? I’m like a vessel, and God has chosen me to be the voice and the connector. I can’t be responsible. I’m good, but I’m not that good. So my job is just to be in the studio and do videos, and I just stand here and let God do the rest…
Down below, some really nice trax 2 DL, starting off w/ the NO DJ version of the B.o.B. / T.I.P. collaboration, “I’m Dat Nigga” that I like a lot. Akon’s upcoming album, Freedom, will hit stores December 2nd and below is a track from the album’s leak today that is a NEW version of “Could You Be The Reason” and is also a track that I enjoy. Brandy really shines on her own with “True” and Musiq Soulchild comes thru with some real solid trax that might make his next album, OnMyRadio! You can also DL the latest mixtape from slept on Atlanta rapper, Stat Quo! Enjoy!
“Boogz with the beat.. S-Preme with the heat! Hah!”. S-Preme’s statement rings true at the beginning of this Chicago banger! He rips a captivating chorus showin’ our hometown some love throughout his ridiculous verses. Most of all, it is S-Preme’s versatile Chicago flow that shines brightest on this track, switching up depending on the lyrics at times. The listener has 2 have an attentive ear 2 catch all the words, but clarity isn’t an issue because no matter how fast S-Preme is going, u can still understand word for word, even w/ some Chicago twist in there as well! Can’t wait 2 bump this throughout the city as Chicagoans will surely eat this track up, but hip hop heads in general have no choice but to respect S-Preme’s skills. Down below, a batch of solid, NEW trax featuring Q-Tip, a hot Mos Def snippet, and my boy Montell Jordan, among others. Don’t forget 2 peep the Musiq SoulChild/MJB video premiere as well! Enjoy!
12:25PM CT: Added 3 more solid trax f/ The Game, Chicago’s Mic Terror, & Craig David!
Another update for ya eyes & ears 2day, starting off with a nice, unreleased Usher track (thx 2 our friends @ Urban Music). I’m feelin’ the overall vibe 2 it and Usher using a deeper tone for most of it. Down below, definitely DL the NEW DJ Green Lantern Yes We Can! mixtape that features all of the heavyweights listed there and some up and comers like Chicago’s Mikkey Halsted. There’s a handful of trax and a nice request that’s not really hip hop but a nice Timbaland-produced track. (Thx 2 Jabbify user, DanjaNeptunes). Finally, Eminem confirms his next album will be called Relapse and that it will be out at the end of this year. Add his name 2 the list of super-heavyweights that are droppin’ albums before ‘08 concludes: Eminem, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Kanye West, Common, and already T.I.?? Am I missing anyone? Damn. Shaping up 2 be a great end of the year for hip hop. The latest ep of ConsTV can also be found below! Enjoy! (Finally, check out OG Hip Hop’s experience @ last nite’s big Jay-Z show HERE!)
Shouts 2 our boy Kev from S.L.A.B. Entertainment for comin’ thru w/ a special, GWHH exclusive by Chip Tha Ripper - a RMX of the T-Wayne hit “Can’t Believe It”! I was never a fan of the original, but I gotta respect the rhymes and flow of Chip on this one! Don’t sleep on the Cleveland bred rapper, who will be performing with Kid Cudi on Monday at the Evil Olive on Monday! Down below, some more NEW trax for ya ears featuring the “Love Lockdown” A Capella and Trey Songz killin’ yet another hit song with his cover of “What Them Girls Like”! Don’t forget the couple video premieres as well! Enjoy!
Oooh, Consequence just hit everyone w/ an e-mail as he posted a ConsTV exclusive! The video below is of him and Kanye in the studio, workin’ on 808’s & Heartbreak! Enjoy!

Here’s a couple unofficial “Love Lockdown” RMXs courtesy of some close friends of the GWHH fam, S-Preme & Dj MiniMaxX! First off, S-Preme was on some Red Bull shit last nite and just started talkin’ silly over Kanye’s latest single…and still killed it. Some freshness 2 “Love Lockdown” is found at the end there, so listen 2 that all the way thru. Also, Dj MiniMaxX brought a ‘House’ feel 2 “Love Lockdown” and it’s definitely a version of the track that should be bumpin’ @ ur parties! Down below, the latest from the boy Consequence, T-Pain & Luda, MJB, Leona Lewis (damn, she can sing..), & MORE, including the alternate version of the video for Ryan Leslie’s “Addiction”. No Cassie again.. (ugh, R-Les did u lose her number or somethin??) but it’s all good cuz I like this version of the video better w/ a cool inside look at the genius R-Les in the studio. MUST-SEE for all u R&B fans.. “Addiction” has gotta catch some air time. Don’t forget to VOTE FOR US ABOVE! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album, First Love, in stores 08.19! *Tibs Fav.™
I’m lovin’ everything I’m hearing from R&B new-comer Karina Pasian, and this track is different than the previous ones we’ve posted off her debut album, First Love, in stores this coming Tuesday! “90s Baby” is sure 2 be a radio hit - it’s got the uptempo beat and the equally catchy hook, but there’s somethin’ about Karina that I can already see separates her. While this song isn’t as lyrically deep as her other songs, it is a nice track that exposes a lil’ bit more about who Karina Pasian is, a good idea for what looks 2 be the first track off her album! Below, there’s some more R&B featuring some big names like Brandy, Trey Songz, & Bobby Valentino, as well as some solid hip hop cuts - namely a CDQ version of an old T.I. mixtape track, a nice Talib Kweli feature, & a solid, passionate banger from Cassidy & Cory Gunz! Finally, peep the latest video premiere from Musiq SoulChild! Enjoy!
Some NEW music above as the Pharoahe Monch freestyle awhile back on “The Healer” has been put 2gether for the official RMX! It’s a nice, unique track from 2 unique artists, and as a quick sidenote, I’ve read that Erykah Badu is quite the live performer and pulls out all the stops in her shows. Her performance stands out in Dave Chappelle’s Block Party and all her new tunes have been pretty sweet. So check that out above along with another GLC track (thx Andrew), the latest from Obie Trice & Musiq Soulchild, as well as a couple requests, including, as u may notice, a recent Lil’ Wayne song that I actually like, haha. Kanye produced a sick one there. Keep the requests comin’.. I’ma do my best 2 find them and post them ASAP! (Some of the trax don’t exist like the “Diamond Girl RMX” f/ Craig David?? I don’t think there’s one with him..). Anyway, enjoy!
BTW, how dope is the new header by Max G.?!! Superman literally flyin’ above Chicago (with the GWHH logo in the upper left on a building, takin’ overrr!!) all reflected off an increasingly unique Chicago landmark - The Bean @ Millennium Park! Let’s hear some feedback!!
Crazy day full of travel and extreme sickness but it’s all good now as I’m back home watchin my Bulls cruise 2 a much-needed W, haha. (Wait, scratch that, Bulls are now blowing an 18 point lead in the 4th… ugh! UPDATE: Bulls successfully completed the crapfest and lost 110-106.. funny how things changed so quickly.) Anyway, here’s some of 2day’s NEW trax and videos including a cool RMX of a growing T.I. single “Hurt”, the latest, NEW single from Rihanna that will be on the re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad, and more NEW trax f/ Talib Kweli, Musiq SoulChild & Estelle, & Ryan Leslie! There is also a video PREMIERE of the latest from the Teriyaki Boyz f/ Pharrell & Busta Rhymes below!
A couple Lupe tidbits… “Superstar” f/ Matthew Santos has climbed 2 #10 on the Billboard Hot 100! #10?! The promotion has been really stellar for the single as Lupe has performed it everywhere on national tv and went with a big-budget for the video. With the perfectly-timed drop of the RMX f/ popular southern rappers Young Jeezy & T.I., I would assume the RMX and the original will be pushed even more heavily on the radio stations everywhere across the country and I could see “Superstar” climbing even higher! That would be even more gross. Finally, catch Carson Daly 2nite as Lupe Fiasco will again be performing, potentially the “canned” performance of “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” f/ Nikki Jean?! Video will be up ASAP! Stay tuned!
Happy Valentine’s Day 2 ya’ll! If you’re lookin’ for that playlist of R&B slow jams that will woo ur Valentine 2day, then look no further then the latest mixtape from my boy DJ B-Bop entitled I’ll Be Right Here! It is a collection of DJ B-Bop’s favorite OLD school AND NEW school Valentine’s Day related R&B trax, including a HQ version of the Ryan Leslie HIT “Valentine”, which I posted yesterday! Definitely should be blowin’ up in your stereos later 2nite,
Special thx 2 DJ B-Bop! Peep the tracklist and DL below!
