I was buys all day Saturday, but back on Sunday with a HUGE, 25 track update, predominantly R&B featuring all the big names like Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher, Mario, Jamie Foxx, & MORE! My boy Songz sounds ridiculous over the 2 covers of Slim and Robin Thicke. I’m really feelin’ those couple trax and to a lesser extent, the “Just Like Me RMX” w/ Usher added and the Paula DeAnda / Frankie J duet. MORE Kanye from 808’s & Heartbreak! Someone definitely leaked out the album or most of it cuz I’m pretty sure Kanye only wanted “Amazin’” out 2day. So this is our last post on the CDQ trax from the upcoming album. Ya’ll are goin 2 buy it in stores anyway in less than 2 weeks! But anyway, the Lil’ Wayne collabo is my favorite of the two above and certainly better than their Graduation collaboration, “Barry Bonds”. I love the production on the track and their voices are enhanced and more powerful because of that. Idk about some of the lyrics by Weezy but it’s a track that I’ll be bumpin’ for sure. “Street Lights” is a lil’ more chill and more Kanye pourin’ out his emotions. Even though I might side with some of his fans out there that want another pure hip hop album from Mr. West, the direction of this album is something that I admire and above all, it’s good music. I love the emotion that Kanye displays throughout all the leaked tracks so far and his singing, autotune, and everything else hasn’t become annoying, rather it has only enhanced the emotion portrayed on the tracks. Consequently, Kanye West is connecting to a wider audience that can better relate to Kanye West, the person. 808’s & Heartbreak will be in stores November 24th!

Consequence’s “Disperse” f/ GLC & Really Doe should be released next week and will feature cameos from Kanye West & Lupe Fiasco! That was one of my favs of 2007 and I’m really lookin’ forward 2 a fresh video for a fresh song. Also it looks like Common & Pharrell are making a video but for what track, “Universal Mind Control” or “Announcement”? They both have some mainstream appeal but I’d bet on the former. Once the masses hear UMC they’ll eat it up. In some Billboard news, Nas officially dethroned Weezy by coming in at 187K for the 1st week! Congrats 2 Nas. Some NEW R&B trax for ya ears with the feature coming from Ryan Leslie above! It sounds similar 2 the original “Diamond Girl”, with that same scratchy, yet catchy beat which makes for a pretty unique song that I’m feelin. I would think that by seeing Chris Brown & Bryan-Michael Cox 2gether that it would be an automatic *Tibs Fav.™ but there’s just 2 much going on in the chorus that it’s hard 2 follow, I’m not feelin’ the B. Cox joint like I usually do, and it just sounds overall a lil corny and formulaic for me. Maybe it’ll grow on me, who knows, but on first listens, I couldn’t get into it. (Shouts 2 our aff. Urban Music for those exclusives..) Some other solid trax u can peep below, but also the behind the scenes look at CRS’ first video for the “Everyone Nose RMX”! I’m psyched, can definitely see that record takin’ off. Quite frankly, the excitement level for upcoming CRS songs and videos is on par with my excitement for Derrick Rose on the hometown Bulls, which as u may know already, is thru the roof! The internet is starting 2 buzz about a potential beef between superstar rappers - T.I. & 50 Cent! The word around is that 50 took some perceived shots at T.I. in a song called “You So Tough”, rumored 2 be on G-Unit’s upcoming album, Terminate On Sight, with the lyrics,
“Nowaways this rap shit ain’t’ adding up. How niggas get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?”
and
“Oo-weee, don’t talk to me. If you talking to him, you talking to them…

There’s no question with the lyrics above that 50 is commenting on T.I.’s recent legal troubles and pretty much accusing him of snitching for a reduced sentence. Interesting,,, not sure 50 could deal with losing another battle (cuz Kanye destroyed him last fall) and I’m betting that IF T.I. comes back at him with somethin’, it could be damaging 2 50 again since right now, I think 50’s star has plummeted below T.I.’s. We’ll see if there is any response or if it will just blow over (I’m betting on that) and of course, we at GWHH, will keep u updated on the developing beef?!
