Check out the latest hot freestyle from another up and coming rapper outta the Chi: S-Preme! He goes hard over the classic, “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’” from Kanye West, with some ridiculous lyrics and references to the old Mighty Ducks movies, Pharrell, and even George Costanza! It really is worth the DL to catch some of these lines that you’ll have to rewind a couple times in order to catch them all (and the shoutouts 2 the GWHH fam.. yessurr!). Preme’s workin’ on more heat and the next Sicktape so keep it locked at Gowhere Hip Hop for the latest from this upcoming artist. Down below, some mainstream heat comin’ from the likes of T.I., Akon, Mrs. Carter, & MORE, including some nice StarGate productions. Don’t forget 2 peep the nice requested track from G.O.O.D. Music’s Mr. Hudson (of Kanye West “Paranoid” fame) as it’s a unique and mellow track from the talented U.K. artist. Enjoy!
ANOTHER NEW Ne-Yo track; this one is produced by StarGate and stands out above the rest that have been released in the past few days. I loove the StarGate beat that is more electronica that what we’re used 2 compared 2 previous songs of both StarGate and Ne-Yo. Lyrics wise, Ne-Yo tells a story that not many can relate 2, yet it is easy 2 follow and makes for a great R&B track that all R&B fans must DL! Down below, more R&B featuring the likes of Johnta Austin, Bobby Valentino, & The Dream! Peep some random vids as well and enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, CLEAN, 1st Single off upcoming album, Padded Room*Tibs Fav.™
Quick weekend update for ya ears w/ a bunch a NEW trax, starting off w/ the sick collaboration between Joe Budden & The Game. In addition to their clear, on point verses, you get a captivating hook and a ridiculous, unique beat. I’ma be bumpin’ this more and at high volume in the very near future. Down below, predominantly R&B altho you got some hip hop featuring Busta Rhymes, Stat Quo, & Young Jeezy. There’s a ton more unreleased Ne-Yo trax that are all solid, but nothin’ special compared to some of his instant classics on his albums. Don’t forget 2 check out the latest episode of ConsTV in light of the release of 808’s & Heartbreak this Monday! Enjoy!
And I apologize for not bein’ up on the updates as fast as usual, but this weekend is a really busy one and it’ll all be made up 2 u with our biggest EXCLUSIVE interview yet, coming sometime on Sunday! Stay tuned.
***No time 2 make a new post… added 2 NEW trax by Chris Brown & Lloyd! Scroll. (4:20PM CT)
18 TRAX and some video premieres from the past couple days. Yesterday was once again a travel day for Tibs but I’m back w/ some Q-Tip featuring the future President of the United States?!?! Haha, snippets of Obama’s inspiring words are mixed with the N.Y. rapper’s track that I believe is on his upcoming album, The Renaissance, in stores 2morrow! Make sure 2 get out 2 the polls 2morrow as well: Election Day is almost here! I’m sure we’ll remind ya again 2morrow Anyway, there’s a bonus Q-Tip RMX of “Gettin’ Up” by DJ Scratch featuring Busta Rhymes and down below, predominantly R&B featuring some big names in Usher, Ne-Yo, Mario, Trey Songz, and MUCH MORE! You might like more than I do, but generally, I wasn’t feelin’ a lot of the new ish below. Also, don’t forget the video premieres at the bottom from Q-Tip, Freeway, & Craig David! Enjoy!

Above is the tracklist for Common’s next LP, Universal Mind Control, hittin’ stores on December 9th! Interesting that there’s only 10 tracks, but Common usually keeps the amount of trax low anyway. Lookin’ forward 2 the Kanye feature and the album in general. You know Common is goin 2 bring it lyrically and I’ve been feelin’ the 2 trax that have been leaked so far - the title track and “Announcement” f/ Pharrell. Another good hip hop album on the horizon is Q-Tip’s The Renaissance, which hits stores November 4th. Below, you can find a NEW version of his collabo w/ D’Angelo (a MUST-DL!) as well as more hip hop and R&B featuring Frankie J, R. Kelly, Kelly Rowland, & MORE (including videos)! Enjoy!
**UPDATE**(7:47PM CT): It looks like this is the official cover for 808’s & Heartbreak according 2 Amazon. What do you think? Vote in the poll below and check out all the NEW Trax-N-Vids!
FULL, LQ, Limited DJ, Track off upcoming album, 808’s & Heartbreak *Tibs Fav.™
FINALLY back.. and with a TON of goodies for ya eyes and ears, starting with NEW Kanye West from 808’s & Heartbreak! “Coldest Winter” was released earlier, but this is the HQ (supposedly CDQ) version of the track that is also supposedly dedicated 2 his late mother. I can def see that and I think parts of it can def be applied 2 a relationship also. I’m really diggin’ “Coldest Winter” a lot; the beat is ridiculous and inspired by some 80s music and Kanye passionately sings some beautiful lyrics. I’m still on the fence about the album’s direction, but it appeals 2 me because I love the topics he’s covering and I don’t mind the autotune that much and feel that Kanye uses it real well 2 the point that it’s not really annoying. We’ll see about the entire album, however. I’ll reserve judgment on “Robocop” because it does sound like a LQ version, but I can say that it didn’t strike me like “Heartless” and “Coldest Winter” did at first. Both of the latter trax really stand out 2 me and will be on repeat for months 2 come (just like LA’s “The Journey” produced by Mr. Music that u should definitely grab if u haven’t already!). As for the rest of the update, NEW trax from John Legend, Ludacris featuring co-stars like Lil’ Wayne, Common, and even Spike Lee, a couple real nice Q-Tip trax, and some other solid efforts from hip hop and R&B artists that u can peep below. Also be sure 2 check out the latest video premieres featuring Estelle, Bobby Valentino, and Keri Hilson among others. Enjoy!
So Chi-Town’s own, Verbal Kent, reached out to us with this timely exclusive - a hip hop version of the classic Chicago Cubs theme song “Go Cubs Go” that rings through Wrigley Field after every W (and let’s hope that will continue in October!). As a ridiculously huge Cubs fan, I’ll be glued to the TV or maybe at Wrigley for the playoffs this year and the city is straight up buzzing as this is the best chance in recent history that the Cubs will break their 100 year World Series drought (Oh, and I suppose the South Siders may be chatting a lil’ bit as well as they sneaked into the playoffs themselves less than an hour ago.. hmmph..) As for Verbal Kent, he is not just a no-namer from Chicago, as evidenced by his recent ink in the hip hop magazine, XXL, and you can peep his MySpace HERE! Much props 2 VK for the creative rhymes centered around the starters and pitching staff as well as the bench players, announcers, and more! Of course, Go Cubs Go!
Down below… FIFTEEN NEW TRACKS! You gotta find somethin’ u like, especially the R&B fans out there as the NEW trax from heavyweights Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, & Mario are ones that will be in my rotation for some time 2 come as well as some of the unknowns, specifically that Jason Derulo track that is striking a chord w/ me. Hip hop fans will see a couple Paper Trail bonus trax that are definitely good enough 2 be on the album (and I got the album 2day… it’s ridiculous.. expect a review soon!). Really feelin’ “I Know You Missed Me”! Sorry couldn’t get up on here earlier, but Tuesdays are my busy day. Off 2 the gym fools; Enjoy!
Some NEW hip hop and R&B for ya ears with The Game headlining this post, comin’ thru w/ a deep, lyrical slow jam (hip hop slow jam.. not R&B slow jam, haha.) Definitely some thought-provoking lines in there, and of course the prerequisite double digit name-drops in the track, but at least it comes off more clever than annoying in this case. Down below, some T.I. trax that I didn’t really dig, esp the RMXs where I felt Trina, Foxy Brown, & Rick Ross didn’t add anything 2 the respective trax. And finally, R&B fans will enjoy the latest from Johnta Austin & Israel! I’m feelin’ “Killing Me” a lil’ more from the Filipino singer (represent!). Oh, and I didn’t forget… Luda said in the conference call last week that the video for “Undisputed” would drop this week and there it is @ the bottom! Def lookin’ forward 2 Theatre Of The Mind in November, but I think fellow ATLien T.I. will more than hold me over w/ Paper Trail, which I’m waking up early for 2morrow! Jyea! Enjoy!
