Real quick R&B update here before I head off 2 work… not many thoughts, but some big names, including Usher & Mario comin’ thru w/ a couple nice trax over some chill Dre & Vidal beats. Also feelin’ the uptempo Cassie track on 1st listen..! Peep it all above and below! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Unreleased track off the album, Back To The Lyrics*Tibs Fav.™
In comes Bullet once again, sendin’ thru an unreleased track off his recent album, Back To The Lyrics, called “The Cycle”! This track really shows Bullet’s lyrical ability as you’ll have 2 really zone in and listen 2 the lyrics 2 fully understand the story that Bullet is telling. It may take a few listens, but it really is a neat story from Bullet’s perspective of life’s experiences. Definitely take note as Bullet keeps making waves throughout the industry - just another Chicago artist soon 2 be hitting it big time! Down below, check out some more R&B and hip hop with 2 real nice slow jams comin’ from Ne-Yo & Joe & Mario along w/ some more trax by Lloyd, Freeway, & Crooked I! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, Joe Thomas, New Man*Tibs Fav.™
Bunch of NEW R&B for ya ears, starting with a sweet track from Joe, which I can see as the opening track for his upcoming album. The lyrics, as u can imagine, apply 2 his re-definition of himself and involves some interesting metaphors as well. It’s not a slow jam as I first thought it would be, rather an uptempo track. Down below, are a couple more uptempo trax by Ray Lavender that are very solid, a couple nice Fabolous features, & a slow jam by Chris Brown and Andre Merritt (I have this strange feeling he used 2 be a WR for the Bears? haha, maybe same name, different guy situation.. anyway I digress…) and it is also a nice track that R&B fans would enjoy! Finally, peep a Lupe Fiasco interview @ the bottom! Enjoy!
Oh, and we’re back 2 zShare now - seems like international users can access the site like they used 2. Thx 2 ash in the UK for the heads up!
Honestly, I’m feelin’ this NEW track from our boy S-Preme more than anything else below. There’s nothing special below, so if u choose one track 2 DL 2day, make it the one above by the up and coming Chicago workaholic, S-Preme! It’s a fresh, fresh track with a unique beat and S-Preme changing styles and flows throughout. He got me immediately with his lil’ intro transition into the first verse that was just dope. Takes a couple listens 2 fully grasp the lyrics/punchlines (rectum one was great) and finally, he goes ridiculous in the last 30 seconds or so. Another professional track by S-Preme above, who deserves 2 keep blowin’ up! Below, like I said, nothin’ special, but some big names like Young Jeezy, Ice Cube, Ne-Yo, Joe, & MORE as well as some interesting videos 2 peep! Enjoy!
Above is a brand NEW track from Chip himself, presumably on his upcoming Can’t Stop Me mixtape, and it’s a fresh one featuring Kid Cudi! The verses are all on point over a beat that both rappers excel on and is also my type of beat. Chip shows his versatility as he spits over a more laid-back beat compared 2 the hard bangers I am personally more accustomed 2 and it works for the better. Not 2 mention his overall flow is better than I’ve heard in previous trax, which goes with a catchy chorus that I can see myself singing along 2. I’m excited 2 see how the rest of the mixtape develops now, which should be coming soon according 2 his MySpace. Enjoy the exclusive above as well as the myriad trax below… starting with Jay-Z jumping on “Put On”, as well as Jeezy spittin’ some NEW verses. Gotta had it 2 Jay-Z (who I was never a big fan of) but he killed it here. Hmm, more hits than misses in the trax below.. I’m really diggin’ the Rhymefest track, but mainly because of Chamillionaire’s beastly verse and incredibly clever Lauren London reference which made me chuckle on 1st listen. Another nice reference occurs in the Busta Rhymes / Jadakiss collabo as a Shaq in Miami and Phoenix NBA reference caught my attention (as does any NBA reference, haha!) Just a bunch of hip hop and some R&B trax below! I’m sure u’ll find somethin’ u like so comment on what u do (and don’t!). Enjoy!
Here’s a couple of cover arts I stumbled upon recently for upcoming singles that I have really been lovin’ - “Green Light” & “Miss Independent”! Update ur iTunes artwork if u like and DL the songs if u don’t have them already below!
FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, Walk With Me Now, Fly With Me Later*Tibs Fav.™
Here’s 2day’s NEW music update with the feature track bein’ from one of my all-time favorites - DMX! It is a sincere, focused collaboration with the British singer, Seal, and it’s a hot one! I really like the DMX (and all rappers actually) when they really use their lyrics 2 focus on something meaningful, and this track is shades of that old DMX. Def a MUST-HAVE for the hip hop fans out there. Below, there’s some more quality trax that cover a variety of taste, as I’m really feelin the 2nd part of Joe Budden’s “Who”, which is nearly 6 minutes long of Budden straight up rapping on some throught-provoking issues of hip hop a la Pt. 1! Can’t wait for Pt. 3 of this lil’ series of trax. If ur a big Trey Songz fan like me, you’ll be satisfied with his 2 latest features, altho I’m not really feelin’ the entire trax as a whole.. and the 2 R&B trax at the bottom by Joe (shouts 2 Urban Music) and featuring Colby O’Donis are pretty solid as well. Finally, the video premiere for Nas’ latest single “Sly Fox” is out and u can view it at the bottom! Enjoy!
Producer: J. Lack - FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming album, Year Of The Gentleman*Tibs Fav.™
Hope everyone’s 4th was a safe and fun 1! Back with another mainstream update for ya ears w/ the feature track being a ridiculous one by one of my favorite R&B singers, Ne-Yo, & one of my favorite up and coming producers, Usher’s younger brother, J. Lack! J. Lack always has this unique sound and it’s never consistent w/ his other trax (which is a good thing) and Ne-Yo shines over this with some cool lyrics. Def a MUST-HAVE for ur R&B collection! Down below, check out the latest from fellow R&B crooners, Lloyd, Colby O’Donis, & One Chance among others as well as some hip hop featuring the Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Wayne, Ludacris collabo (which could grow on me) and a track from Chi-Town’s GLC! Also peep the lil’ Nas flick if ur interested at the bottom! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Rumored track from upcoming album, No Man *Tibs Fav.™
The feature track above is from an underappreciated R&B star - Joe, who is definitely well known but should shine brighter because of his talented voice. The song above displays that over a new-age R&B beat that we’re all used 2 by now. The lyrics have some nice metaphors that make the song a unique one that R&B fans will think is fresh. Definitely a track 2 add 2 ur R&B collection, as well as the Sterling Simms (and StarGate produced) track below called “Eyes”. And Robin Thicke kills the chorus of the Eve track below, which is set to an ominous beat that isn’t typical of R&B. Also below, check out the latest from The Game, which is an interesting song that might grow on me featuring Travis Barker and the latest from G-Unit as “You So Tough” is the track that 50 Cent disses T.I. on in the 3rd verse.
2 follow up on the Shaq dissing Kobe freestyle, the hilarious news story of the day is that a sheriff wants Shaq 2 return his badges with the reason being Shaq’s foul language in this remarkable huge (and overblown) freestyle, dissing Kobe Bryant, as well as NBA legends Patrick Ewing and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar. Finally, there are a few videos below including the premiere of Jennifer Hudson’s first single “Spotlight” and live performances from Diddy’s crews of Day26 & Danity Kane! Enjoy!
The above live performance is simply a must-see. Lupe straight up rips it word for word on my favorite track from Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool and Nikki Jean provides the nice, soulful chorus. Their energy really gets the crowd going and you can tell as the song progresses 2 the very end. I had 2 watch that another time myself, haha. A few notes on the NEW trax below… really feelin’ the Taio Cruz/Estelle RMX and “War Is Necessary”, which I’m re-posting with the CDQ version. The “Flashing Lights” track is the Glow In The Dark Version, which is not live, but CDQ and features a slight, yet interesting take on the track, that I’m sure sounds 10x better if that is used when he performs it in his show. Finally, the Jay-Z track is an interesting one as he fired back at DeShawn Stevenson in support of his boy LeBron James - in fact, it is one of the strangest, most entertaining feuds (LeBron & DeShawn) that I can remember. There’s a link 2 the full story below the track that is a must-read if you’re interested in the details. Enjoy!
Whoo, bear with me from now on as uploading in my apt at Minneapolis has gotten more difficult. I might have 2 use other means. Anywhoo, some music and vids for u R&B fans… as u can tell One Chance and the guys from Making The Band 4 are hard at work, so material from them will likely continue 2 leak. Here are some trax that are all solid, and could all grow on me even more. Check them out for yourself (Casely as well) down below! Enjoy!
Btw, late nite update 2nite cuz I was at the Bulls-T’Wolves game… unfortunately GWHH’s Bulls lost but Kirk Hinrich threw me his towel at the end of the game, giving me a slight nod before he threw it.. I was wearing his jersey as well. Haha, so that was cool! I’ll be real busy 2morrow, but I’ll find time 2 post an EXCLUSIVE interview with an artist featured on Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool! Stay tuned!
