The videos are worth the viewings as Kanye West has been performing LIVE on all the shows lately, most recently with Young Jeezy for BET’s 106 & Park. I was buys all day Saturday, but back on Sunday with a HUGE, 25 track update, predominantly R&B featuring all the big names like Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher, Mario, Jamie Foxx, & MORE! My boy Songz sounds ridiculous over the 2 covers of Slim and Robin Thicke. I’m really feelin’ those couple trax and to a lesser extent, the “Just Like Me RMX” w/ Usher added and the Paula DeAnda / Frankie J duet. Whoo, 18 track update for ya ears here, starting off w/ the much anticipated collabo between 3 of 2day’s biggest rap stars: “I Did It For Hip Hop” by Ludacris f/ Jay-Z & Nas! And this one blew me away. Luda comes thru with a catchy hook over a raw hip hop beat and I’m especially feelin’ Nas’ verse. Definitely one that every hip hop fan should DL! Down below, an interesting original version of Common’s “Be”, a hot beat on the DJ Felli Fel track, the nice extended version of “Propane” f/ T.I., some more various hip hop and R&B trax-n-vids! MORE H-Town heat for ya ears, with the featured track of this 2nd post 2day comin’ from another Houston rapper, Slim Thug! It’s a real hot, Jim Jonsin produced beat that is inspired by the classic from A Flock Of Seagulls’ “I Ran”! For the younger generation like myself, that likable song was the title track for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and is instantly recognizable with Slim Thug’s clear southern style overlaying the similar chorus. Down below, a few more solid trax, including a nice Swizz Beatz radio rip that I think I’ll like more once the CDQ version is released. It’s certainly catchy, as u should expect from Swizzy. Kanye dropped all of the above on his blog 2day… so lemme paraphrase. As you may know by now, the video premiere for Kanye’s 2nd single, “Heartless”, was leaked, but not by Kanye. It wasn’t a perfect HQ version, so Kanye uploaded it, which is the version above. He also released the RMX 2 “Love Lockdown” f/ fellow Chicagoan, R. Kelly as well as Pharis?! And THEN, Kanye remastered “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless”, definitely enhancing each track very noticeably and brilliantly, yet at the same time causing all of us 2 DL yet another version of it. Perhaps a small annoyance, but greater than that is a higher quality version of Kanye’s latest hits! Down below, Alicia Keys is re-releasing As I Am out in the U.K., including 3 bonus trax that us folks in the United States will surely grab. An extended? version of “Another Way To Die”, a potential grower in “Doncha Know (Sky Is Blue)”, and a real nice instant hit for me with “Saviour”! Finally, be sure 2 peep 2 solid trax from Akon & James Fauntleroy as well as the latest episode of ConsTV. Enjoy!
Thanks for bearin’ w/ me the past day or so w/ NEW trax that I got for ya here, starting off with a nice lyrical track from Jay Electronica and producer Just Blaze! They compliment each other really nicely as the beat does not overshadow Jay Electronica’s voice and lyrics, but rather enhances the power of them. Obama and social issues are quite the discussion in many of the trax in the post, including Jay’s up above, as well as the trax from Nas, Q-Tip, Busta, Jake One, Mikkey Halsted, & R&B’s Ray Lavender. In addition, Ne-Yo comes thru w/ a nice slow jam called “Piano” and Young Jeezy & Nas perform “My President Is Black” on Carson Daly! Still so excited about last nite and it’s starting 2 set in! Here’s a small update for ur first day of November featuring a bunch of R&B trax, predominantly by Ne-Yo! Of the 3 released, I’m feelin’ his collabo w/ Fabolous the most as I feel both compliment each other nicely. It’s no “Make Me Better” but it’s def a solid track that could grow even more in my rotation. The other 2 are again solid, but don’t hit me the same as Ne-Yo trax usually do; however, they do have growing potential as well. JT comes thru on a unique StarGate beat that R&B fans should DL just 2 see if they are feelin’ it. I’m not sure how long that’ll take 2 grow on me, if at all.
