Producer: Kanye West - FULL, CDQ, UNOFFICIAL RMX *Tibs Fav.™
Another HOT “Say You Will RMX” for ya ears, with this one featuring no stranger to remixes: Trey Songz! Songz pours out some emotion, raps, and sings over the first 3 and a half minutes of the powerful, eerie Kanye beat. He matches the emotion of Mr. West on the track and it’s definitely one that you’ll enjoy. Consider it a MUST-DL! Another must-have track is Keyshia Cole’s “You Complete Me”. It’s a nice, slow-tempo R&B track with great lyrics and a great performance from Keyshia, whose album, A Different Me, is coming out December 16th! Further down below are a few more trax and a few interviews and behind the scenes look featuring artists like Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, and Consequence. Finally, Z has part 2 of the Chamillionaire interview up and running and it is definitely an interesting read/listen. Below is a snippet from the interview about “Hip Hop Police” that I was always curious about and the link to the interview. Enjoy!
On Being Forced to Release “Hip-Hop Police” as a Single:
“What people don’t know is, [off] the last album, “Hip Hop Police,” which I liked - it’s a creative record - is the equivalent of me doing the “Internet Nerds” record on Mixtape Messiah. I didn’t want it as a single, but the label wanted it as a single, so I went with it. I fought it at first, but I lost, and it ended up being a single. So now, when the public views it, they’re like, “Well, Chamillionaire’s dope, but he doesn’t have a good choice of single,” those are idiots who don’t know how the industry works.”
Thanks for bearin’ w/ me the past day or so w/ NEW trax that I got for ya here, starting off with a nice lyrical track from Jay Electronica and producer Just Blaze! They compliment each other really nicely as the beat does not overshadow Jay Electronica’s voice and lyrics, but rather enhances the power of them. Obama and social issues are quite the discussion in many of the trax in the post, including Jay’s up above, as well as the trax from Nas, Q-Tip, Busta, Jake One, Mikkey Halsted, & R&B’s Ray Lavender. In addition, Ne-Yo comes thru w/ a nice slow jam called “Piano” and Young Jeezy & Nas perform “My President Is Black” on Carson Daly! Still so excited about last nite and it’s starting 2 set in! For more Obama, including the updated FULL video of his victory speech last nite, CLICK HERE! Anyway, enjoy!
Producer: Timbaland - FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album, In A Perfect World… *Tibs Fav.™
Above is a brand NEW track from my girl Keri Hilson featuring her mentor Timbaland! It’s got a nice Timbo beat and equally nice lyrics; the duet reminds me of the Nelly Furtado / Timbaland mega-hit “Promiscuous”, but it’s not as dumbed-down, yet also not as catchy. Either way, it’s a good track and Keri’s debut album should hit stores this fall! Down below is some more trax from the Saturday - starting w/ a real nice slow jam from Ne-Yo, and the rest featuring many hip hop artists that are not mainstream names, yet still doin’ their thing. Peep them below and DL what u like. Enjoy!
Fyi, Sunday is another travel day for me; updates from me will be sparse, but as always, I’ll try and get a big update up sometime later in the day!
