The above track is all Talib spittin’ on a nice, slow, simple beat from Dela, which of course allows Talib to spray some clear wisdom and even attack “lullaby rappers”, a term I would love 2 adopt now, haha. I’m not really feelin’ it - autotune 2 the max here, but I’m sure it’s somethin’ that won’t sound bad in a club setting. Bishop G has always been a talented lyricist and this is another example of his skills there. He doesn’t spit with the same fast flow that I’m accustomed to but that’s not a bad thing, considering the subject of the song. Def a solid track hip hop fans would like. Also be sure to check out the Terrace Martin and Pete Rock collaboration with the title of the song pretty much explaining what type of song it is. I don’t listen to jazz much, but I love the genre of music and when combined with hip hop, it sounds great as you should see from the track there.
