Comin’ thru w/ a quick update with Akon hittin’ us with a brand new solo track called “Get By”, which is a solid, slow-paced jam that reminds me of the Akon we saw in his debut album, Trouble. Akon has certainly crossed over into a pop icon, but this track reminds me of the songs that gave him his roots in the first place. Down below a couple new hip hop trax featuring Raekwon & Asher Roth, along with video premieres from Gnarls Barkley & Plies f/ Jamie Foxx & The Dream! Enjoy!
Once again, some old, yet unreleased Lupe Fiasco & GemStones (courtesy of Andrew) and this one is a unique banger! GemStones (back then, Gemini) on the chorus is lovely, especially when he brings it back one last time on Lupe’s command. It’s true throwback Lupe & Gem as they rap with that gangsta swag that they once carried over a ridiculous beat by Chicago native, Boogz. Definitely a song 2 add 2 ur collection. Below, some good hip hop, including a noteworthy song by Three 6 Mafia featuring a Pimp C sample and a sample of Zombie Nation’s “Kernkraft 400″ - a *Tibs Fav. in itself, haha. I also fulfilled some requests (Immortal Technique request is for the album, any specific songs I can try and find?) Also peep the Gnarls Barkley LIVE performance while u wait for ur DLs 2 be ready! Enjoy!
***Just Added: GemStones VIDEO Interview - Get 2 Know Him More Below! MUST-Watch!***

GemStones Interview
Talks NEW Album, Chicago, “Good Morning” & “Everyone’s Okay” Clips (Shouts 2 KayCee!)
I haven’t posted much since the completion of the new design, but now that skoolz out 4 summer I’ve got some sunny things to share. Check the Exclusive Gowhere Hip Hop Mixtape I put together below w/ complimentary cover art/back art that I did. There’s everything you need to make a physical copy. Share it with your friends. It’s a lot of good things compiled to make an excellent physical CD. 100% gwhere. H.A.G.S.
Wow, step away from the comp for a few hrs and all this heat of the summer is droppin! 3 NEW Usher trax above, all sweet as usual - “Echo” prolly my favorite of the day… scroll 2 the post below for 2 more if ya missed them. Chris Brown comes thru again with a real sick track called “Last 2 Know”, Day26 over another B. Cox joint and a Gnarls Barkley video premiere! I would say more but I gotta run… just DL the trax - they’re all must-haves for u R&B fans! Enjoy!
Here’s a couple tidbits for ur late nite hip hop fix. Gnarls Barkley has pushed the creative limits as they took their latest LP, The Odd Couple, started w/ the last track and went backwards with the beats and vocals. Def worth checkin’ out above as they put it up for free! And in some really exciting news, I was really hoping for a Lupe Fiasco RMX album since Lu’s versatility allows him 2 sound awesome over any beats, and I got my wish as, in the story below, Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool is being RMXed by French electronic duo, Justice! Peep a quote from the story and click the link for the FULL story below!
Alongside a “ridiculous” remix of his new single ‘Paris, Tokyo’, Lupe also told Rickie that a certain French electronic duo are remixing his new album: “I’m remixing the album with Justice, I’m gonna shout out to Justice”.
Producer: Fabrizio Sotti - FULL, CDQ, Track off 2006 album, Confidential*Tibs Fav.
Old School Sundays, happenin kinda late I know, but it’s up with a MUST-DOWNLOAD hip hop track above! The mainstream hip hop fans might not be familiar with the hip hop duo Dead Prez, but they are well-respected throughout hip hop and the track above is by 1/2 of the duo M-1 with guest verses and vocals from K’naan & Stori James. The track came out in 2006 and I was actually introduced to it on the NBA Live 07 soundtrack, haha. But it is a great track that was one of my Tibs Favs Of 2006! I just love the message and the awesome chorus in this song and all you hip hop fans gotta DL this great example of good hip hop!
Below is a video that my roomy and his buddies made back in the summer of last year as they wrote a ridiculous rap song for the fun of it. Haha, it’s got some hilarious one-liners and u should def check it out. Below that, we flip from Old School 2 New School as Estelle hits us with another hot track f/ Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley and Chingy & Bobby Valentino’s new collaboration hit the States from the Japanese version of Chingy’s album, Hate It Or Love It! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album The Odd Couple*Tibs Fav.
HUGE Update 2day and I gotta run. A lot of *Tibs Favs., but the ones I’m really really feelin’ is the deep track by Gnarls Barkley that was featured recently by ?uestlove and the Ne-Yo track “Closer”. Most of all tho, u know I’m lovin’ that “Superstar RMX” f/ 2 of my favs - Lupe Fiasco (of course) and T.I.! Max G. posted that up early this morning down below, so be sure 2 scroll up and down and make sure u don’t miss a track! Enjoy!
Here’s some of the NEW trax and vids from 2day and I’m especially lovin’ the featured track by the boys from the Go - One Chance! Another great B. Cox beat that helps enhance the voices and lyrics from One Chance. Below there is another track by R. Kelly that is just ridiculous AND he is dissin’ Ne-Yo on this track (the 2 had some beef when they were both on tour - Ne-Yo was outshining Kellz and then Ne-Yo got kicked off is what I hear.) I’ll just leave it at that and u guys can DL and see what I mean. I also put up the requested Rihanna single (StarGate produced!) that’s blowin’ up the radio rite now! Remember 2 shout out ur requests in our ChatBox in the upper right!
You can also peep the video PREMIERE of another single from Konvicted - “I Can’t Wait” f/ T-Pain, which is actually one of my top 3 favorite songs on that 2006 album. Kinda surprised a video is being released this late, but prolly trying 2 capitalize on T-Pain’s popularity right now. Another video below is from ?uestlove of The Roots. He begged 2 premiere the latest track from Gnarls Barkley and he did so in video form. A deep track that you’ll prolly like! Enjoy!
Enjoy a couple quick hit vids for ya! I kno ya’ll are goin 2 like that Gnarls Barkley premiere, haha. And since I’m in the Semi-Pro mood, I found a sweet video interview with Andre 3000, who talks everything from hip hop - the state of hip hop and his potential retirement?, parenting, politics, 2 improvising for Semi-Pro in theatres 2day, co-starring Will Ferrell! Loved the interview, saw some clips in the movie as well that were NOT in the trailers, and am now even more psyched 2 finally go see this soon, altho that might not even be possible, haha! Enjoy!
CONGRATS 2 Max G. for his Glow In The Dark situation below! Haha, that’s crazy! Maybe I’ll see ya there?! but I think my buddy got tix for the 1st nite, haha.
“I think we got a solid body of work together,” Lupe said recently in New York. He has a sold-out show at the Nokia Theater on February 2 (the night prior to the Super Bowl) as part of his tour (and he promised special guests such as CRS during the summer leg of his outing). “I think we got an album that people are gonna get. Initially, people enjoyed and loved it, but I think people are going to love it even more once it sits, because it’s such a heavy body of work that you gotta break down. … I think it’s gonna re-evolve. It’s gonna re-happen!”
…
“We’re shooting a lot of videos,” he promised. “The next viral record is gonna be ‘Hip-Hop Saved My Life.’ We’re gonna leak that to [the Net]. The next main video is gonna be ‘Paris, Tokyo.’ Were planning a huge, big, kinda exotic, grandiose production for that. That’ll probably come in February.”
NEW MUSIC is HERE! Damn, took awhile 2 upload, but it’s all below and ready 2 DL! I’m usin’ Max G.’s account on divShare so we got the previews again! Peep all the trax below and enjoy!
