Above is the supposed cover for Usher’s upcoming album, Here I Stand, tentatively slated for May 27th (I heard June.) Looks like a tight cover w/ Usher rockin’ the beard. Maybe DeShawn Stevenson will tell Ush 2 stop copying him as well! Hahaha. (Beside the point, I know, but I thought that quote in the DeShawn story was hilarious… and I’m pullin for him, Gil, & the Wiz starting 2morrow!) Ok, back on topic, below we got some NEW trax f/ Usher’s crew One Chance, Bobby Valentino, Ne-Yo, & a Madonna/Kanye West collaboration, even though I don’t hear Kanye at all… maybe he produced it? But Kanye is credited with the track. And you can also check out some Cool Kids and Gemstones live video performances from Mano’s (from He Say, She Say) bday party in the CHI last night! Enjoy!
kinda off topic going along with the Hibachi Post from a couple days ago by Tibs but FADER Magazine posted this video of Arenas’s view on his favorite music… Find out if he likes Kanye or 50 more!!!
Sorry I couldn’t get these songs up earlier… I’ve been real busy with going home for the weekend and now back in school and in the studio (arch. - not recording, haha) non-stop. Anyway, here are 3 Trey Songz featured songs that have been released the past week.. maybe few days. I’m really feelin’ the “Bed” Remix as the original version is already no. 5 on the Billboard charts. I’d also like to add that Trey Songz has a SWEET Gilbert Arenas line in the Drake song,
“Let me fill the arena, I’ll be Gilbert Arenas, somethin’ like a Wizard when I give you what I give ya, when I give you what I give ya…”
His rhymes (yes, Trey Songz raps also) are actually all pretty nice on this track with a “Matrix” reference also. But anyway, if you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of Gilbert Arenas, so while I’m here and since we’re all getting hyped for the new NBA season (check out the Celtics video posted below by gowhere?) check out another blog all dedicated to Gilbert Arenas that I check out daily.
