I’m excited about Q-Tip jumping on the RMX, clearly disregarding the Fiascogate incident where Lupe messed up the lyrics of A Tribe Called Quest song in a live performance, and I’m excited for Sarah Green 2 display her vocals on the track, like she has been alongside Lupe for his more recent live performances! On other news, Erykah Badu was insulted by all the negative comments surrounding her pregnancy (to protégé Jay Electronica). In full she wrote a post defending her choice of men, her children and her choice to have kids out of wedlock.

Some NEW music above as the Pharoahe Monch freestyle awhile back on “The Healer” has been put 2gether for the official RMX! It’s a nice, unique track from 2 unique artists, and as a quick sidenote, I’ve read that Erykah Badu is quite the live performer and pulls out all the stops in her shows. Her performance stands out in Dave Chappelle’s Block Party and all her new tunes have been pretty sweet. So check that out above along with another GLC track (thx Andrew), the latest from Obie Trice & Musiq Soulchild, as well as a couple requests, including, as u may notice, a recent Lil’ Wayne song that I actually like, haha. Erykah Badu is releasing her new album on Feb. 26 titled “New Amerykah”.
This will be a 3 part series of albums, the second which is to be titled “The Kabbah”.
Each album will have a different twist on political views and critics are describing this new movement for Erykah as very “progressive avant garde rock”.
A quality about Erykah Badu is that she is a very highly skilled songwriter, where you have to read between the lines to get tha twist. In the interview above, she described the single “Honey”, which we posted earlier saying, “So sweet, Sugar got a long way to catch him…”.
