Here’s another hot, Chi-Town track that ya’ll should DL, from the rapper Daytona 5 Bill, featuring FNF’s GemStones! It talks about dealing with the ups/downs and responsibilities of being a rapper and they both do a sweet job over the unique beat. It’ll be on the upcoming mixtape from Chicago Embassy Music, which looks promising for some more up and comers from the Chi. (Thx 2 Hunnid Grand for the send thru!) **Warrants mentioning that this track may be a rare one also since GemStones refers 2 himself as Gemini…?? Down below, another Chicago & FNF artist, Bishop G, comes through over an old Lloyd Banks beat and kills it; I’ve never heard it, but it may actually be an old track (saw it over @ lupEND), and also another leaked track from The Recession by Young Jeezy. Honestly, a somewhat forgettable update here, with a couple T.I. videos kicking it off, with a lil’ message about the passing of Bernie Mac this past weekend. The above video is an interesting one featuring Lupe Fiasco - an interesting, well done piece on black skateboarders in NYC, featuring a lil’ cameo by Lupe Fiasco describing his skateboarding anthem, “Kick, Push”. The skaters discuss its impact and relevance on skateboarding since the release and the video also includes footage of some neat tricks, of course!

Above is all NEW Nas for ya - the long awaited mixtape, The Nigger Tape, with DJ Green Lantern AND the VIDEO PREMIERE of “Be A Nigger Too”. It’s impossible 2 go through and listen and hear Nas without him stirring some thoughts and emotions in you and I think he proves it once again with this mixtape (STILL bumpin’ “Hero” and will be for awhile..!), setting the stage for his album, tentatively titled Nas, in stores July 15th! So hopefully this becomes a reality! The Bulls overcome overwhelming odds and get the #1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft with only a 1.9% chance of that happening! I still can’t believe this and it is almost 2 perfect that the best player/prospect in the draft happens 2 be the anointed 1 from Chicago, IL - DERRICK ROSE! Now, Michael Beasley actually solves a lot of the Bulls’ problems, but c’mon, Derrick Rose belongs in a Chicago Bulls uniform… if John Paxson is reading this (hahaha…) do what you can 2 trade our existing guards, get a big guy who can run with Rose and we’ll be set and you’ll win back the Chicago fans. If we pass on Rose it could be damaging 2 our fan base.
Wow, I can go on, but its really about the music and we’re staying with a Chicago flava with a SIIIIICK cover of T.I.’s mega-hit “What You Know” by the Chicago R&B fellas One Chance featuring their protege u may have heard of… Usher as well as Rico Love! Definitely a unique take @ one of my favorite tracks that ya’ll should definitely DL! Also, while u wait, you can peep a sick LIVE performance of “The Light”, “Stronger”, “The People”, & “Flashing Lights” by CHI-Town’s own Common & Kanye West!
