A lot of Consequence for ya eyes and ears 2day, with a real nice feature from him as the feature track! He’s one of the most underrated lyricists in the game and he brings it on not only the track, but also the freestyle in the video above (after the interview). The Ben Franklin / Kite (Kyte) line is great. Don’t sleep on Cons and check out his OFFICIAL blog HERE! A bunch of HOT NEW trax for ur Sunday evening, starting w/ 2 nice ones from 2 of the 3 QUEENS of R&B 2day - Mary J. Blige & Beyoncé! (Alicia Keys being the 3rd IMO..) Mary J. covers Ciara’s “Supernatural” and displays a very powerful and beautiful voice while Mrs. Carter kills another uptempo beat that, who knows?, could be an upcoming single on her developing album. Down below, I’m feelin’ a lot more trax including parts of the “Girls Around The World (DJ Khaled RMX)” (T.I. of course), the 2 StarGate produced trax by R&B singers Mario & Dontae, & NYC rappers Fabolous and Lloyd Banks comin’ thru w/ some nice rhymes on their respective trax! Not sure if any of the trax from this update will have an enormous lasting appeal for me, but they’re all certainly enjoyable! Haha, so enjoy!

Here’s a few NEW trax for ur Saturday, with the feature track coming from The Game! “Toy Soldierz” reminds me of his earlier hit “Dreams”, but is not really similar, if that makes sense. Game spits with the same consicous, analytical tone and that’s when I like him best. He still name-drops but does so in a clever manner, whereas sometimes I find it annoying. The Eli-2-Tyree catch and his want of a big girl like Jennifer Hudson are 2 of the references that struck me on 1st listen postively. Some thoughts on the trax below… Busta is pretty sick on the “Music For Love RMX” but I don’t think he matches the song with his deep, unique voice and that’s where I revert back 2 the original and also, the Ciara song is credited 2 Ciara by my man J.D. but after a couple listens, I’m skeptical that it’s actually her. Judge for yourself tho. Enjoy!

Above are a couple nice, nice trax from the boy R. Les as he comes thru with another R&B jam as the lyrics is the component that stands out on “Wanna Be Good”. He also remixes his own song with the “I.R.I.N.A. RMX”, showcasing his rap skills over a neat lil beat that features some beat boxing! And yes, he has them - he was a Harvard prodigy and can pretty much do everything, haha. I like both trax that are a nice addition 2 ur library. Naledge (Of Kidz In The Hall).. Mugshot, haha.
“Double O from the hip hop group Kidz In The Hall was assaulted by several bouncers early Saturday morning, July 26, while inside a nightclub in Tempe, AZ following a Kidz In The Hall performance. Group member and friend Naledge, who did not witness the assault on Double O, was arrested outside of the club. Naledge’s attempt to get medical assistance for Double O was misconstrued as a hinderence to the investigation. Reports that no injuries were sustained are false as Double O was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries from the excessive force used by club security. On Sunday morning Double O underwent surgery for one of his injuries. He is still in the hospital, but in stable condition.” (Thx 2 Matt C. for the e-mail!)
The story above pretty much explains it and altho Naledge seems happy (in the mugshot, I’m sure not in general), we hope Double-O can make a speedy recovery and that the incident was nothing more than a misunderstanding. Back from Minny w/ Max G. with a bunch of NEW trax! Above is the long anticipated (at least for me) CDQ version of Common’s “Universal Mind Control” f/ Pharrell. The Neptunes’ beat creates such a different sound than we are used 2 for Common, one that will definitely take getting used 2 with this song, and perhaps on his upcoming album, Invincible Summer. Either way, definitely a MUST-DL for ur collection! For all our Chicago readers, Common will be one act at DePaul University this Friday for only $10. That’s all the details I know, but I’m sure there is more info 2 be found and u mite run into Max G. & I there, haha. NEW Cool Kids! Couldn’t get up on this til now but above is a couple trax leaked from the upcoming Bake Sale EP, hitting iTunes and the streets 2morrow! Talk about a fresh new sound… if that’s what u are looking for, I can’t stress enough about the Chicago/Detroit hip hop duo - The Cool Kids. They are rapidly growing for me personally as well as the versatile flows over some of the most unique sounding beats I’ve heard in awhile create a real fresh, distinct sound. The songs above are no exception as they spit with a slow flow 2 match the raw beats. And I hadda share this NBA-inspired lyric below cuz the metaphor here is so on point, it’s ridiculous.

Below, you can check out another Chicago track (big ups 2 FSD) by Chi ILL & G.O.O.D. Music’s GLC that might take me a couple listens for it 2 grow on me and it has a lil’ bit of an addicting chorus. I also hit u guys up w/ a couple mainstream trax… Ciara’s 1st single off her upcoming album w/ Ludacris - Ciara hitting them really high notes over a crunk beat that makes for an interesting sound at least. The R&B group Rock City also released their cover of T.I.’s latest hit “No Matter What” and finally, Idle Warship hits us with their controversial video for their latest track, “Fall Back”, a web video illustrating their letter 2 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
