The Chicago R&B group - One Chance - has the unofficial title for “Most Songs Released Without Having An Actual Album” and chalk 2 more up 2 their case with the songs above. The SoundZ-produced (same producer of “Love In This Club Pt. 2″) RMX of “Look At Her” is a solid one that may grow on me, but the one I’m really feelin’ is the new jam - “I’m Callin’”. It’s not a slow jam, but not really a typical club banger either and the best part I like about that track is the lyrics (especially the chorus), emphasized by the group’s strong voices. Down below is some more R&B featuring Trey Songz, Usher??, Johnta Austin (with a nice track over a StarGate produced beat!), Avant, & MORE as well as a Joe Budden interview! Enjoy!
More from the vault as another Prolyfic-produced Lupe track hits the web above with “U Don’t Know”. Truthfully, this is nothing more than a solid track OVERALL since I’m really not feelin’ the beat and the guy screaming on the chorus, but Lupe brings it as usual and it’s worth the DL 2 hear his rhymes alone. The track I’m really feelin’ 2day is by another Chicago cat - Yung Berg - as he comes thru with a song that I feel could be a hit. It’s produced by Boogz (shouts for a few of the trax) & DJ Chase and features the lovely Amerie on the hook. While Amerie carries the song with her strong vocals, YB also follows thru with the sick, twisted Chicago flow, that I feel he lacks sometimes in other trax. I hope this song blows up (CDQ version also.. poor versions are elsewhere) and it’s definitely one worth DLing. There’s plenty more trax below with Ne-Yo’s “It’s You” deserving some words. It’s over the wonderful Usher “Will Work For Love” beat (the hidden track on Here I Stand) and while Usher’s version is better and illustrates the difference in their voices, Ne-Yo’s is still a quality one, with the lyrics standing out above all. Don’t forget 2 peep the videos as well with some interesting ones f/ Ludacris, & Jay Electronica! Enjoy!

Some serious heat in this post with a handful of sweet trax, starting with 2 of the game’s heavyweights collaborating (no pun intended) - The Game & Lil’ Wayne! Normally I’m ‘ehhh’ on both these rappers but they came 2gether for a slower, more conscious track for this one. Wayne is a lil’ annoying on the chorus, but The Game’s verses are all on point and were a fresh reminder of why I bumped The Documentary so much. Down below, Redman comes through with a sweet freestyle over Jay-Z’s “Show Me What Ya Got” and Young Chris & Wale collaborate for a real fresh tune as well. The one thing they have in common, besides being a *Tibs Fav.™, is references to one of my favorite movies - Beverly Hills Cop! Haha, not everyday u see one track with a reference 2 the Eddie Murphy film, let alone 2. And there are also some real dope name-drops with The Rock in the Young Chris / Wale collabo and CP3, aka Chris Paul, in The Game / Lil’ Wayne collabo. Finally, I’m really feelin’ “Perfect Gentleman” by Avant f/ Alfamega, which has a vibe similar 2 the Avant / Lloyd Banks collabo “Exclusive” that I really liked. In addition to the videos below f/ Rick Ross & Trey Songz’ video premiere, more Nas in the media, and a Young Jeezy annoucemet, make sure 2 head over 2 our affiliate, the lupEND blog, for a very interesting post Lupe Fiasco made on Okayplayer about why Nas is his favorite rapper. Definitely a MUST-READ for an inside look at the mind of Lupe Fiasco. Enjoy!
Check out our boy Bullet with a mention in the upcoming issue of Source! This is a big deal for one of our rappers we’ve helped launch here at Gowhere Hip Hop and we’re happy 2 see him get the pub he deserves! Watch out for his upcoming album, Back To The Lyrics, on July 29th! Down below is a bunch more NEW trax featuring Chicago’s own, Rhymefest, Lil’ Wayne, Ice Cube, and R&B f/ R. Kelly, Avant, One Chance, Donnie Klang, & MANY MORE! There’s also some videos 2 peep with the latest premiere from Taio Cruz, Lupe Fiasco performing @ the ESPYs (supposedly he was performing throughout the night, during the breaks.. def shoulda got more air time tho..), and Will Ferrell accepting Tiger Woods’ ESPY for Best Male Athlete from Justin Timberlake! Hahaha, simply hilarious. Enjoy!
Stay tuned for some Rock The Bells pictures and updates from Max G. & I - we’re workin’ on it 2gether as we speak!

Happy Independence Day with a TON of NEW trax, including the latest from T.I.P. up above.. He goes a lil’ slow flow on the chorus, trying 2 recapture some “What You Know” magic, and I think it is effective on first-listen, but we’ll see how long that lasts. It is a quality track that the T.I. fans should enjoy and it could very well be the first single off Paper Trail. Down below, u gotta DL a couple trax from Chicago artists - Naledge & Malik Yusef. The Malik Yusef is pretty much a spoken word and it’s pretty cool. Both are MUST-DLs. And finally, check out the boatload of NEW R&B trax (in large part, thanks 2 Urban Music) featuring Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Lloyd, Mario, Bobby Valentino, & MORE! I still need more listens, but on first listen.. Mario “Do For Love” & Trey Songz “High Definition” I’m really feelin’. We’ll see how that develops over time, but u should judge for yourself and DL above & below, in addition 2 a couple videos f/ Mariah Carey, T.I., & The Cool Kids at the bottom! Enjoy!
Another Kanye West listening experience video! He’s been releasing them every so often now and here’s another one to “Barry Bonds”! Below is a funny video of Lupe Fiasco & Chris Brown freestyling and some more of the day’s NEW music! Not 2 much time 2 chat, got some work 2 do, haha. Enjoy!
