Thanks 2 S-Preme in our Jabbify, I was able 2 catch the world premiere of the long-anticipated “Everyone Nose RMX” on BET’s 106 & Park and thx 2 Connie over @ OnSmash w/ the send-thru, we have the video online and above @ GWHH! I was expecting big things from the video and it delivered. I love the crazy, fresh effects throughout and the video game / electronic type elements illustrated, w/ everyone lookin’ and actin’ all fly throughout the video. It definitely personifies the style of N*E*R*D and its equally fresh guest features - Kanye, Lupe, & Pusha T from Clipse. I’ve also been thinking about who delivers the best verse out of the 4 in this track for quite some time now, and I’ma throw it out there that if I had 2 choose one who really really killed it, it’s Pusha T. His flow is just ridiculous over the awesome beat and people shouldn’t sleep on him w/ CRS likely overshadowing him on this song 2 the casual fan. Any thoughts on this as well? Chat or comment away! (I should note tho that Kanye, and Lupe especially shine brighter lyrically..) It’s a MUST-WATCH video so please take the time 2 check it out above! Above is a brand NEW track from Chip himself, presumably on his upcoming Can’t Stop Me mixtape, and it’s a fresh one featuring Kid Cudi! The verses are all on point over a beat that both rappers excel on and is also my type of beat. Chip shows his versatility as he spits over a more laid-back beat compared 2 the hard bangers I am personally more accustomed 2 and it works for the better. Not 2 mention his overall flow is better than I’ve heard in previous trax, which goes with a catchy chorus that I can see myself singing along 2. I’m excited 2 see how the rest of the mixtape develops now, which should be coming soon according 2 his MySpace. Enjoy the exclusive above as well as the myriad trax below… starting with Jay-Z jumping on “Put On”, as well as Jeezy spittin’ some NEW verses. Gotta had it 2 Jay-Z (who I was never a big fan of) but he killed it here. Hmm, more hits than misses in the trax below.. I’m really diggin’ the Rhymefest track, but mainly because of Chamillionaire’s beastly verse and incredibly clever Lauren London reference which made me chuckle on 1st listen. Another nice reference occurs in the Busta Rhymes / Jadakiss collabo as a Shaq in Miami and Phoenix NBA reference caught my attention (as does any NBA reference, haha!) Just a bunch of hip hop and some R&B trax below! I’m sure u’ll find somethin’ u like so comment on what u do (and don’t!). Enjoy!

A Tribe Called Quest
The 2008 Rock The Bells tour kicked off in Chicago this past Saturday on July 19th with a bevy of artists taking stage at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre. Artists and legends like Kidz In The Hall, Jay Electronica, Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, Rakim, De La Soul, Method Man & Redman, and Mos Def, The Pharcyde, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest provided a concert of live, raw hip hop lasting nearly half a day! All the artists brought their own style and entertainment to the stage so there was never really a time to drift off and take a break. Some notable highlights and characteristics from the performances were the passion and clarity of the messages from Immortal Technique, the high-octane energy Method Man & Redman came with to ignite the crowd to another level (even stage-diving), Mos Def’s incredibly slick acapellas, Nas’ entire set, especially his “One Mic” finale, & finally the best moment for me - The Pharcyde performing one of my all-time favorite jams “Runnin’”, enhanced by the live energy by all four MCs and the live drums and instruments. One critique of ours was that Nas should have closed the concert because his buzz is at the highest with his recent release of Untitled and the hip hop legend had the crowd in the biggest frenzy of the night. No disrespect to A Tribe Called Quest, who were great in their own right as well, but we noticed the crowd was not as into them as they were with Nas. Again, “One Mic” was an excellent closing song to Nas’ set and would have been a perfect cap off for the entire day of real hip hop performances. We would have also liked to see artists like Dead Prez and Kidz In The Hall later on in the bill as the crowd was still filing in well into the early evening. We had a great time chillin’ with our friends, GWHH ‘Return Of The MC’ Contest winner S-Preme, and even some of the artists who were in and out of the SanDisk VIP lounge! Here is a NEW REMIX of Lupe Fiasco’s first single off his upcoming album Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool “Superstar” in light of “Fiascogate”. In an exclusive interview with XXLMag.com, A Tribe Called Quest frontman, Q-Tip, reveals he’s forming a new group with Common entitled The Standard. “Me and Common getting ready to form a group,” ‘Tip tells XXLMag.com. “We’ll probably run it through the Uni joint because we’re both on Universal.” According to The Abstract, it was Common who suggested the two from a group. “It was more of his suggestion,” he says. “He was like, “We just need to do a record.” So I’m really excited about that.” While the two haven’t started recording together yet, The Standard will start churning out material once the two starting touring together in a few weeks. As far as the production on the album, though, fans can expect Q-Tip to handle the majority. “I’m probably gonna do a lot of it,” ‘Tip says. “And we’ll get Kanye on a couple things, but you know, that cat is busy.”
