From the downfall and instability of the market these past several years, it's safe to pronounce that definitively it is better to do it yourself, whether that is working for yourself by producing your own business, or publicizing and marketing yourself through your own media outlets. Creating and owning are a person's best friend. Wale understood that, analyzed his buzz in the streets with his album The Gifted dropping last week, and simulated his own publicity for his attributions. Wale was unfortunately fortunate to not land the cover page of any major magazines despite the fact his album The Gifted, was Wale's first album to debut no. 1, generating 158,000 in sales.
Wale covers The Beat of Atlantic Records magazine for their The Gifted Issue, including three separate interviews with Wale, along with other pieces written on hooper Skylar Diggins, ballerina Misty Copland, Chef Roble and artist Kehinde Wiley, "The Gifted Wall of Fame", which pays tribute to all the doper than dope people in specific areas of life who deserve honorable recognition such as Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Steve Jobs, Sylvia Plath & Albert Einstein, and a June 25th timeline that notes all of the prolific highlights and occurences on that date throughout time. Among those commemoratives are Mozambique gaining independance from Portugal in 1975, Michael Jackson passing in 2009, Custer's Last Stand on June 25, 1876 and lets not forget Wale's album release The Gifted.
