This week on Jay-Z's YouTube Channel, street wear pioneer, Dapper Dan is highlighted in his first interview in over 20 years. The Harlem-world native, talks about how he became an independent clothes designer after major brands refused to sell to him because he was black. He became the go-to guy for custom designer clothing in New York. In turn, he made pieces for the likes of almost every local black gangster, rapper, and athlete. Dapper may have the biggest influence on modern street wear clothing lines and boutiques, and he goes into his detail about how he made his name below.
