Rotofugi's Roto-A-Matic machine sculpts vinyl art figures

Gotta show some love to fresh Chicago toy and art boutique, Rotofugi, for this unique new, yet old-school way to create vinyl art figures.

They brought back the Mold-A-Rama machine from the 1950s, rehabbed and renamed it to the Roto-A-Matic, and enlisted some designers to sculpt a toy that the machine can sculpt for you, for only $6. Last month's toy was Tim Biskup's "Helper Dragon" (seen in the slideshow above) and was inspired by the classic green Army Man figures.

Be sure to pay them a visit in Chicago or online to find out more and get a toy for yourself. Video of the Roto-A-Matic at work can also be seen below.

*tips hat* to the spotlight on this over at Complex that had me lookin' into this more
