Sad news today as veteran hip hop manager Chris Lighty has passed away (source: VIBE). Lighty and his Violator Management company boasts clients like 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, and Busta Rhymes just to name a few, and Lighty has been a major player behind the scenes in the music industry for a long time and has worked with an even longer list of your favorite artists. No doubt that the industry as a whole is feeling this loss today. R.I.P. Chris Lighty.
