While this week's Billboard charts project Alicia Keys to debut at #1, the week that wrapped up saw Rihanna's Unapologetic take the #1 spot with 240K sold. A pretty strong number and it's Rihanna's first ever #1 album spot in her career (yeah, I was kind of shocked at that as well). In addition, "Diamonds" is number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
And in other charting news, Keyshia Cole's Woman To Woman sold 96K in its debut week, good for a #10 spot, and finally, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up album is struggling at #28 with only 34K sold. Minaj and her camp is blaming many retailers for not carrying the album. Definitely not a good look, but hopefully it's a stat that will discourage artists from going the re-release route (it's hard to entice fans to buy the same product with only a few new bonus features nowadays).
