How bout a break from all the hip hop news today? Did anyone catch The Tony Awards last night? Probably not because Game 2 of The Finals and the Game Of Thrones season finale was on, but if you missed it, you also missed the best performance from anyone yesterday (sorry, Kanye!) courtesy of Neil Patrick Harris as I found out today.
Above is the full, eight-minute opening number which found NPH singing (basically rapping with how fast he was going) about the year that was in Broadway and much more as he opened the show. Plenty of chuckles throughout, especially when Mike Tyson made a cameo in the performance. But above all, wow. I continue to be impressed with NPH and these musical performances. How much did he have to memorize — both the song and dance?! Amazing. Any casual fan of this site will appreciate this so give it a press of the play button above.
And I'm sure this was NPH after this performance...
