We Are Hip Hop Festival Announces 2012 Line-Up

Chicago's Pros Arts has announced the 7th annual We Are Hip Hop Festival line-up.

This entirely youth-run festival introduces new artists and break-dancers to Chicago as well as it aims to bring together the Pilsen community.

The festival expresses the main components of Hip Hop such as: break dancing, rapping, DJing, and graffiti art. Events such as graffiti and break dancing battles will take place during the festival as well as performances by Legit, Scheme, Jam One, Lili K, Esohel, Mr. L.V., C. Rich, Daryn Alexus, Kuumbalynx, spoken word artist Billy Tuggle, and more. Those around the Chicago area are welcomed to attend to learn more about hip-hop culture. The cost is free.

The festival will take place on Saturday August 4th 2012 from 1 pm to 6 pm, at Dvorak Park, located at 1119 W. Cullerton (by Cermak and Carpenter). For more info you can check out their official site and facebook pages.
