It matches perfectly with the content of the song and quite frankly is speaking the absolute truth. It is great to not only see the two spread their positive and inspiring word through song, but also for Trey Songz & Drake to include a quote from perhaps the most influential person in the world today that will register with most everyone who watches the video. As for the video itself, the nighttime setting sets the dark mood already evoked by the song's production as Trey Songz and Drake flow from atop their Toronto balcony in the midst of chilling shots of them riding in a car. The most powerful scenes in the video happen around Drake's 3rd verse where they see versions of themselves as other occupations (most noticably Trey Songz seeing himself as an aspiring basketball player). It drives home how this song has become an anthem for anyone trying to succeed in life, which is why "Successful" is automatically one of the records of the year.
