Trey Songz "Heart Attack" (prod. Benny Blanco & Rico Love)

In comes the new single from Trey Songz as we draw towards midnight tonight, and it's an easy *Tibs Fav.™ on the very first listen. I'm glad to hear "Heart Attack" doesn't go the club single route as instead, Songz belts out an anthem for a broken relationship over a pulsating, futuristic production courtesy of Benny Blanco and Rico Love. In addition to the fitting beat to the concept, I dig that concept and the chorus especially - the realness of "cause I never knew love would hurt this fu*king bad" - plus, Songz is on point vocally throughout. "Heart Attack" will likely receive the all-caps upgrade as I let this digest throughout the week; I'm already liking it more with each listen so without further adieu, I suggest you do the same with the stream above (shouts 2 RU). Great choice for a single for Trey's upcoming fifth album, Chapter V. I think "Heart Attack" also has that mainstream appeal with the chorus and production so I suspect to hear this one all over the radiowaves, the DJ sets, and everywhere soon enough.
