Orie 'Twenty-20' [EP]

Twenty-20 is the new EP from Orie, who let loose of a few well-received previews prior, including "For The Stars", which still earns some burn in my rotation and moreso now that it's in context with the rest of the project. Speaking of the rest of the project, Twenty-20 starts off on the right foot with a hilarious skit on the intro, followed by a few of the tape's strongest cuts "The View" and "The Lou" before the aforementioned "For The Stars". Another notable, that may become my favorite track of the tape when the dust settles, is the tape's title track featuring Chicago singer C. Rich, which is an ever-changing and powerful record. 

The growth in the young emcee from St. Louis is evident across Twenty-20's lyrical content, as Orie raps with substance and a deep personal perspective that is delivered in a fashion that makes the listener care. Plus, sonically, the production from beginning to end makes for an engaging listen of fresh sounds that I think many of you hip hop heads out there can vibe with.
