The Wild Hare was the place to be on May 21st as Chicago hip hop once again took over the Wrigleyville venue. G.O.O.D. Music's GLC was on hand, headlining the showcase which included other talented Chicago artists we promote like YP. It was GLC that everyone came to see and he didn't disappoint to the max. capactiy crowd . Spinnin' off his biggest records like "Big Screen" and "Flight School" (sans guest stars), GLC had the crowd goin' with emotional messages in between about his family and friends and his life experiences in Chicago. He premiered a couple new jams as well - "The Big Knot" f/ Bump J and "Clockin' Lotsa Dollars" f/ Bun B - but my personal highlight was his live performance of "Disperse" with Really Doe in the building to spit his verse also. Since both were goin' back and forth, the energy was unmatched - something awesome to experience for easily my favorite GLC-featured record.
As a bonus treat for everyone unable to attend the show, take a look at ALL of his songs from our HD camera. Blast the volume, full-screen the video and get a sense for what it was like at the Wild Hare! Make sure to follow GLC more closely at GLCitymusic.com and follow his twitter.
