Yes, as the title indicates, we now have Carlos Boozer rapping! The new Chicago Bulls anthem "Winning Streak" premiered last night at the UC (ironically, we lost) and it is helmed by one of the city's living legends of rap, Twista, who also nabbed "I Don't Wanna Know" singer Mario Winans for the hook.
Boozer checks the mic, a la Juelz Santana, to kick off his verse and concludes it with a Big Sean-esque punchline, "Now I got the game laced up, shoestrings". Listen/download above for what lies in between (I love Booz, but it's about as bad as the missed lay-ups last night). That's not all though as Twista shows why he's Twista with a lightspeed verse that happens to name-drop every Bull on the roster, plus Coach of the Year, Tom Thibodeau (more Twista after the jump). One thing that this track could use more of though: Boozer yelling ad-libs such as "HEY!", "AND 1!", "GRAB IT!", and my personal favorite, "GIMME THAT SHIT!". If you don't know what I'm talking about, then just keep a close ear to Game 3. So, what do you all think of this one?? (shouts 2 YK2).
By the way, the picture above is Boozer reacting to the TAJ MA-FATALITY! and the gif below is of one of his teammates leaving him hanging, presumably the Bulls' funniest player Keith Bogans playing a prank on him. Hah, classic.
