The SXSW footage continues! One of the many poppin' venues that attracted some buzz in Austin this year was Vice's Viceland, which featured a 3-day showcase with Kendrick Lamar headlining their final night this past Saturday.
Our team was in attendance, hyped from a potential Jay-Z appearance rumor, and just excited to see K.Dot perform 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D City' was enough. Following Kendrick's career rise, this year's SXSW was just another marker signifying just how much bigger his presence has gotten. You can always tell when someone put in the years to craft their skills through sincere willingness and intention; there is a fearlessness that radiates out from the absolute knowing of what one is capable of. This is why it's exciting to see Kendrick — the decade he spent honing his abilities are now bearing fruit; a master is one who is capable of holding a flowing stability while allowing the magic to shine out!
"If one really wishes to be master of an art, technical knowledge is not enough. One has to transcend technique so that the art becomes an "artless art" growing out of the Unconscious."
— D.T. SUZUKI
“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives - choice, not chance, determines your destiny.”
Therefore, before he was going to hit the stage, the crowd already knew the show was gonna be special — so for everyone that missed it, enjoy a taste of what Kendrick delivered that night in Austin with the video performance of "Money Trees" featuring Jay Rock!

"Their desire was silent yet magnificent, like a thousand daisies attuning their faces toward the path of the sun."
