It's been a busy week of new music — so much so that it's already Thursday night and this recap covers just some of the big-name releases ICYMI! Be sure to navigate the Songs, Videos, and Mixtapes page for the full list of new music from not only the artist you know, but also the artists you should :)
Up top is the most recent of the huge new drops: Drake's newest preview off Nothing Was The Same — a rap/singing groove called "Wu-Tang Forever" that stands out, IMO, with Drake's second verse, hook, and the "It's Yourz" sample of Wu-Tang.
Down below, Lupe Fiasco delivers one of the most intricate lyrical outputs of the year with "Piece Of Paper/Cup of Jayzus". My head is still spinning about this one — there's witty gem after gem. And rounding out the singles, I gotta show love to Bun B's first single off his upcoming album.
Video-wise, two superstars stand out: Kanye West & Eminem. "Bound 2" was phenmomenal live as 'Ye was accompanied by Charlie Wilson and The Roots on Fallon, and Eminem dropped the old-school visuals for "Berzerk" with Kendrick Lamar amongst the notable cameos.
