You know what the best part about fall is? No, it's not the cold temperatures or the impending cuffing season. It's the onslaught of killer albums that we're in the middle of right now. Everyone from the mainstream rap listeners to the underground heads has had something to get excited about these past few weeks and the coming months. And a lot of them are delivering tracks tailor-made for autumn listening.
After listening to some of the latest drops — including Vic Mensa's buzzing new INNANETAPE mixtape and Pusha T's My Name Is My Name — we decided to curate a playlist of some of our favorite new songs for the fall. Some of these have only dropped as online singles while others have been kickin' around for a few weeks. The way we've presented them here makes for one hell of a listen as you're, say, hopping a bus to class or headed to your job. Plus, what other fitting way to end a walk or commute than with Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home"? ICYMI, we end the playlist with the rather ridiculous music video.
But if you're looking for another way to properly enjoy these tracks, we've got you covered. You should load up this playlist and just chill for a night in. Maybe it's with the game on in the background on mute (the NBA preseason now gives weekdays more excitement). Maybe you want to do some video gambling—you know it's legal now right?—so instead, put the volume at around 6 or 7, and head to Betfair to get your gambling fix. They have a bunch of options for casual and hardcore players alike, and it's a fun and laid-back way to spend your time before you actually feel like braving the cooler temperatures. If nothing else, at least you'll have these tracks, especially the last five before Drizzy, to get the place going.
We don't recommend all 15 songs for a "party playlist," per se, but moreso for a chill fall night at home when it's just cool enough outside to detract you from walking around at night. People have probably slept on these, which means you can serve up a refresher course (and maybe make them go outside and come over to your place, hah!). Without further ado, check out the music.
