Chance The Rapper's latest project Acid Rap, has managed to reach No. 26 on the Hitseekers chart, which comes as a surprise given that the mixtape is available as a free download. According to Billboard, the tape was "available for physical purchase on Amazon and other retailers via the label MTC, distributed by Houston, Texas' 1Stop," without the aid of Chance's Management. These vendors managed to sell a total of 800 copies of Acid Rap.
Chance, however, is not alone in this feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR's mixtape charted No. 6 on Hitseekers despite also being free. The retail version of his self-titled release sold 1,600 copies.
