In a recent interview with Billboard, Juicy J admitted that when he first heard the beat for strip club anthem, "Bandz A Make Her Dance," he thought it would make a good love song. "The beat reminded me of some Quiet Storm shit...it starts so slow and it's really melodic," he explained.
A trip to the bathroom changed his mind. Juicy said, "A lot of time when I'm recording, I smoke weed, I freestyle, and if I'm trying to get that last bar or that end of the song, I'll go to the bathroom, because I always come up with shit in the bathroom. I mean I've written many, many songs in the bathroom." It was there that Juicy realized that the five-word hook that had been in his head might work on this track.
The world clearly needs "Bandz A Make Her Dance" more than another love song, however after being turned on to this r&b cover of the song by Tolu I wonder, can it be both?
