Next spring, just in time for the new baseball season, we can expect to see what I think is shaping up to be an epic film based on the true story of American legend and the first African-American baseball player to play in the Majors — Jackie Robinson. Simply titled '42', the film will star Harrison Ford as Brooklyn Dodgers GM Branch Rickey and Chadwick Boseman as Jackie Robinson. The hip hop influx in the trailer is courtesy of the song choice of Jay-Z's "Brooklyn Go Hard", which fits because it's Brooklyn, but doesn't fit because the movie is set in the 1940s. *shrugs* As a huge baseball fan, and for anyone out there that's fascinated by this culture-changing story, '42' looks to be a must-see.
