S-Preme "Nothing Less" (prod. Mr. Music)

"S-Preme back." As one of my favorite hometown emcees boasts before diving into some fast-paced verses on this Mr. Music-produced hiatus-breaking jam called "Nothing Less". 'Preme flexes his skills on the mic with a mix of clever references (the CP3/Lakers, Pepsi/MJ hair ones being my favorites), double meanings, and a fast, yet easy to understand flow so you can catch every line on the first listen. Yup, that's basically everything an emcee can do, hah. All this over a funky, poppy production that's unlike others in the catalogue from Mr. Music. I vibe with that aspect as much as 'Preme's verses. And really, the verses are the main focus of this one - there's not meant to be a catchy hook as this quick-paced cut clocks in under 3 minutes. More reason to give this a listen/download above. Yup, S-Preme is back, he's just gotta come with more now. Perhaps the album title in iTunes, Awkward Silence is indicative?
