If you don't know, well, as the saying goes, now ya know. 0.5 of M.L.A., pak.one puts down the mic completely for his debut beat tape - a 14 track opus called Wizard Beats. In my humble opinion, pak.one is one of the city's hottest beatmakers, one that should be emerging even higher after this release. His style cleverly incorporates quotes from TV shows and movies with a chopped-up, soulful, hip hop style for a sound that stands out for his own, and is far from a duplicate of others. Open your ears for yourself, and artists out there, you're gonna wanna link up for pak.one for some hot 'Wizard' beats soon enough (as well as some dope rhymes from he and his brother, j.pak). Some of my favorites to look out for: "House Of Magic", the horns on "The Code" (which I just wish was longer), "The Truth", "Tupac Walk", "MAN HORSE", and the tape's strong concluding tracks - "playing with FIRE" (my #1 if I had to choose) and "ENTER METATRON".
