It's been amazing to follow Chicago trio Krewella's journey from when we met them all the way back in '09 when the group first started making music, to present day, summer 2012, and the release of their debut EP Play Hard via RollingStone. Now fully entrenched in the EDM scene, Krewella has catapulted to big-name festivals and shows all around the world and even a promo spot during NBA All Star Weekend this past February. The Play Hard EP showcases a mix of some ever-changing, straight up poppin' dubstep productions from Rain Man with the sultry vocals of sisters Jahan & Yasmine, who add a raw, yet poppy flavor at times. The ensuing mix makes for an entertaining and energetic project that doesn't have a sore spot from beginning to end. While I'm not quite into the EDM scene like that, I have always enjoyed Krewella's music and their latest progression is on full display on Play Hard above - a perfect soundtrack to your weekend as well! And if you're at Soldier Field in Chicago for Spring Awakening tomorrow, you'll definitely want to see these three rock a live show.
