R.I.P. Adam "MCA" Yauch

Earlier today, Beastie Boy icon Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away at the age of 47, succumbing to a 3 year battle with cancer, as reported by Global Grind. MCA formed the Beastie Boys trio along with Mike D & Ad Rock in 1979 and since then have sold over 40 million records. Those numbers only begin to express the impact MCA and the Beastie Boys have had as one of hip hop's early pioneers and he is certainly an icon in the culture that will be missed and remembered for quite some time to come.
