Mick Marx 'Keep Your Heart to Yourself' [EP]

Features 7 NEW Tracks! (Tracklist and short video after the jump!)

Beyond Modern member Mick Marx dropped the first song off of this 7-song EP, “My World (w/ Iggy Azalea) Remix,” back in late January and now here are the next 6 tracks for ‘Keep Your Heart to Yourself’ to complete the story. Marx explained the EP to me as a project that “takes the listener through a chain of events that an aspiring artist is faced with once he attempts to give his heart to someone. There are instances of unappreciation, denial, and regret all tied up into one.” Even though that may sound like the EP is full of sadness, it is not. These songs are very much “SWEAT” worthy, as Marx and Sur Jazz would put it. Put any one of these tracks on at a party and people will dance, especially one of the three original productions by the Beyond Modern guys (two by Marx and one by Jazz). I have to give my love to Marx’s track “End it In The Morning.” It easily takes the cake as my favorite from the EP and with a description from Marx himself as “sweat to the maximum” how could one not like it? Let me answer that for you, you can’t.

Check out the visuals below for “Lost! 1.5,” a continuation of “Lost! pt.1” which was on Sur Jazz’s beat tape, ‘Loft Apartment With A View.’ I have been informed that “Lost! pt.2” will be on Beyond Modern’s upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released this summer!  The album will be all in-house production from both of the Beyond Modern members, as well as their engineer Top Secret.
