Welp, so much for that Valentine’s Day release date. Childish takes to a late Friday night to drop the full video for “Heartbeat” after a dope teaser was released just the other day. The end result: well, as the teaser first established, pretty dope. The video continues from said teaser with an exchange of flamin’ hot Cheetos before a make-out session in the back of Gambino’s classic whip between he and his lady friend. (Not captured: hopefully the Tic Tac break in between, hah!). The ending speaks to the chaotic emotions Gambino raps in the outro verse and the video really drives it home (no pun intended). Definitely my favorite part of the video, which is on point throughout. Give it a look-see above as once again, I’m happy to see one of my favorites from Camp continue to get that mainstream love!
