Now here is a powerful and thought-provoking music video that simply put is a must-watch for you guys today. It comes courtesy of Add-2 with his first video off the upcoming Save.Our.Souls project for "Cotton Fields". Our man Cam Be is behind the lens for this Camovement, which brings to life some of the racism that Add-2 still sees today and describes through some clear and provocative rhymes. That second verse especially got me thinkin' as does the way the visuals turn for the rest of the video around that time. This one's not for the lightest of moods so get mentally prepared before you hit that play button. The video concludes with a quote that drives it home:
"More African American men are in prison or jail, on probation or parole than were enslaved in 1850, before the Civil War began."
- Michelle Alexander
So once again, take a look at the powerful and well-produced offering from Add-2 and Cam Be with the "Cotton Fields" video above, and be sure to keep it locked with more from Save.Our.Souls sure to come in the near future.
