Here’s what I’ve been waitin’ for all day: the new mixtape from Sir Michael Rocks: Premier Politics. 16 NEW tracks with features from the likes of Jeremih, Boldy James, Casey Veggies, and production from Chuck Inglish (of course), Alchemist, and more. One to definitely pick up for your library above so download away! (shouts 2 iR).
Sir Michael Rocks ‘Premier Politics’ [Mixtape]
Features 16 NEW Tracks! (Tracklist after the jump!)
Miguel “Quickie RMX” f/ Twista
Twista is tabbed for the new remix of Miguel‘s “Quickie” (naturally) and absolutely kills it with his addition to the sexually-charged single. On top of that, I normally like a lot of Miguel’s records and this one is no exception, now with some Chicago hip hop flavor, from beginning to end. *Tibs Fav.™ status.
Styles P “We Dont Play” f/ Lloyd Banks
Here goes a new song off Styles P‘s upcoming album, Master Of Ceremonies, with a feature from Lloyd Banks. They don’t play, apparently.
Wale ‘Ambition’ [Artwork]
Wale decides to go with a painting of himself for the cover of his sophomore album Ambition. Dropping 11.1.11, save the date…
PREVIOUSLY: Wale “Tats On My Arms” f/ Rick Ross // Wale “Lotus Flower Bomb” f/ Miguel
T.I. “I’m Flexin’” f/ Big K.R.I.T.
UPDATE: Dirty version added above.
Had a feeling we’d see the first solo release from T.I. soon and indeed we have the new single called “I’m Flexin’” with an assist from Big K.R.I.T. (slightly confused though… no verse from him on this clean version?). T.I. rocks a fast flow on this more upbeat, yet southern style feel as “I’m Flexin’” is not overly impressive on first impressions, but also a solid one that like much of T.I.’s tracks will grow on me over time. I’m not yet ready to anoint it as a *Tibs Fav.™ but I gotta give this one more time as I’m halfway out the door at posting time. See what you think though for yourselves above!
JRDN “All We Need” f/ Melanie Fiona
This is my first impression of Canadian R&B singer JRDN as on this new record “All We Need”, he tabs fellow Canadian Melanie Fiona. The song has an overall uplifting theme established by the chorus’ repetition of “all we need is love” *nods head*. Vocally, you already know Mel Fiona comes correct so I was a little more intrigued to hear what JRDN had to offer and I come away with an overwhelmingly positive impression. He flows well in the verses on top of killin’ the aforementioned chorus and all in all, “All We Need” is all like, a *Tibs Fav.™. Definitely going to be atop my R&B playlist this weekend and beyond as you can find “All We Need” on JRDN’s new project, High Definition, available now!
Lewis “Ogre Odor”
Lewis calls this new release “Ogre Odor” ‘perfect October music’ and I can see that being an apt description due to the dark production and high intensity at which Lewis spits. It’s an overall unique sounding track that I think gets better with more listens as I’ve already begun to experience myself. I particularly like the ending so give this one a press of the play button above and see what you think.
