Here goes a fresh new collab we’re happy to see come together at Gowhere as longtime readers know we’ve been big supporters of both Rotimi & Mickey Factz over the years. Above, the budding R&B star (and actor in the new Kelsey Grammer series ‘Boss’ oh by the way) and the NYC emcee link up for the first time in the new music video premiering on MTVu for “Hello”. The song itself is a sweet, feel-good record for the ladies especially, which is illustrated in the video with Rotimi daydreaming about a future with a waitress he’s enamored with on first sight. Mickey joins Rotimi for the performance scenes and drops a fresh verse paralleling the courtship concept of Rotimi’s beginning. Then the structure of the record continues to take a unique turn with Rotimi’s best solo effort coming in the last verse/breakdown. I especially dig the ending of both the song and the video, which punctuates “Hello”‘s aforementioned sweetness. Definitely a *Tibs Fav.™ for the rotation as both R&B and hip hop fans alike should find some appreciation in this new audio/visual experience.
